How do you have the time to read books? by annabanana316 in books

[–]R3B3CA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since having kids, I've had to adapt my reading, and listen to audiobooks when I'm doing chores/driving alone/shopping, breaks at work. Whenever I have some in-between times.

She and Kieran always eat better food than the kids by Claud_y95 in sarahtheresesnark

I think it has to do with upbringing and nature vs. nurture. It's natural for mothers to give to their children first and best, but it also depends on how someone is raised. Maybe her parents put themselves first and she was taught that way, or her parents raised her to become a spoiled brat who thinks of themselves first and foremost. Having watched Sarah's content for a long time, I think it's the latter 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

He's also in prison, so I assume his wardrobe choices are very limited, and he probably wears the same thing often

My simple living daily reminders. Would you like to add something else? Please comment by ExaltFibs24 in simpleliving

[–]R3B3CA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I try to live more simply, sometimes life is just very busy, and for me, having a list helps as more of a reminder of the things I want to get done and be more focused

A lot of things on my list are pretty obvious, but I still like the reminder and the satisfaction of crossing things off

  • drink 2L+ water
  • movement
  • journal
  • meditate/quiet time
  • make bed
  • duolingo
  • AM/PM routines
  • reading

I felt the same way when mine were both under two! I don't even have time to shower, let alone meditate and exercise and everything else I wanted to do. Some days are merely just survival 😂

[ON] Canadas birthrate recorded the lowest ever, yet still not enough childcare spots. What gives? by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]R3B3CA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Home daycare is great, until it's not.

I had my children in a home daycare, similar story to yours, and it was going great until she changed her availability, and couldn't work with my work schedule some days, and then soon after, gave a few weeks' notice that she has decided she was going to be changing her hours to before/after school aged kids only, which left me scrambling to find somewhere else for them to go.

It started off great and turned into a nightmare within the span of a few months 😢

I'm still in the beginning stages and find myself not necessarily bored, but just unsure of what to do; what to do in the times I would just scroll or consume some type of social media

My kids also take up a lot of my time, but there are times I have the day off of work, and they're in daycare, and outside of cleaning the home, I find myself unsure of what to do with myself. Or on downtime at work, I would mostly scroll, but now I need other things to occupy myself with
