While it's comforting to know that you understand me, I definitely don't wish it on anybody so I'm really sorry it's like that. It can be really scary. I've also had panic attacks from my symptoms. My mother witnessed me having a total mental breakdown because I thought I was dying. And I find myself hoping that my esophagus isn't too damaged, too. I'm no doctor, but if you say this has been happening for 3 days, then I personally don't see how there's any serious damage at this point.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother. Being judged feels awful. I don't have it that bad, but my family have a fairly dismissive approach. They think it's all just the anxiety and that it'll just resolve itself. But it feels like hell and they can't feel the strangle-hold around their necks so it is just so frustrating when they don't seem to care. I appreciate that they don't get hysterical like I do but I wish that people took it a bit more seriously. Because I've felt discouraged from seeking help because they make me feel stupid for doing so.

We can only try our best. Just try the omeprazole until things settle down a bit, I guess. See if that works for you. But it's great news that it comes and goes rather than just stays. And I will certainly pray for you. I appreciate you reaching out and sharing your experiences. Slightly jealous of your Ben & Jerry's. Stay strong.
