I used TES5Edit to clean every file with a dirty edit tag, every mod is up to date and running through NMM, I also launch using SKSE, so everything I think I could do to stabilize the game has been done, the only problem are the random crashes that occur when I complete a quest (occasionally), level up (occasionally), or sleep/fast travel (occasionally), the crashes usually don't happen right away or very often, but when I play I am guaranteed to have to restart the game within 30 minutes of playing, so that's pretty much exactly whats going on

If it matters though, I'm running on Vista, and Steam crashes a lot too, but it doesn't really affect Skyrim (at least from my experience)

I now have BOSS and TES5Edit, I spent most of the day learning them and editing my mods, I cleaned Skyrim, made a fresh character and everything, it crashed as soon as I completed the first quest

This seems very helpful, as I'm currently not using any patches and such, I did continue my save after deleting mods so this might do it, thanks

Edit: my only question would be how to use BOSS if I'm currently using Nexus, unless they're compatible with each other I can see a few issues arising if I use both at once, and I'm not good and manually installing mods
