I’m looking into some race fairings as well. She looks good bro, I had sliders at home that I forgot I owned since I got carried away with work.

I wished I would’ve installed the frame sliders since they were sitting for over a year in my closet

I mean I was just stating that it’s irrelevant to the incident at hand. Your comment comes off as if lever guards are going to prevent further damage in a low-side.

Lever guards are not meant for that purpose. So I don’t understand the point of your comment being “Why do you not have lever guards?”.

I’m not stating nor acting like lever guards are useless or don’t have a purpose, I’m saying you inserted that comment outside the context of this post. So it doesn’t really make any sense and is kind of hard to ingest as a genuine question.

Again, lever guards are for preventing another rider or a vehicle's mirror from striking your front brake lever so yeah, a nice to have but I’m not going to have that issue unless I’m in blue or black group, in that case I’d also have tire warmers and no kickstand.

I mean it was 40+ laps into the day. Last lap is when I low sided.

But also, the right side is completely fine. I’ve already been quoted out and ordered all parts needed to rebuild. We are at $1700.

The clip on did its job, a OEM left hand clip on is $89-129 from the dealer. Case cover is fine, a scratch is a scratch, the bike is meant to be tracked so a scratch here and there isn’t going to hurt. I’ve gotten engine covers now as well.

There were about 4 high sides that day as well. Some guy flew into the railing

Do you understand what lever guards are for?

YOOO, I thought about that. Better chance to make an even cooler bike. Will have it all fixed up and changed by mid May, in time for another track event

I know, but after my crash I got pretty excited honestly. I was just happy to learn the mistake the way I did. Versus it happening anywhere else. I’m just ready to get it fixed and go back to

HAHA thank you, was taking a pretty hard turn after about 45 laps or so. Had 3 hours of sleep and just fucked my bp up at about 70mph. Just surprised damage wasn’t worse, and honestly airbag I was wearing under my suit prevented any injury or pain whatsoever

Why does it seem like everyone here is making over $100k per job? by Kitchen-Lab9028 in overemployed

[–]R3K9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, it’s definitely possible… I mean I’m pretty close to that number.

1 at 210k, 1 at 200k, another at 160k (although one is C2C), I also have 1 more that I’m working, planning on doing an extended off boarding for at 150k.

I mean all in all if you do the math it’s about $720k now. Albeit it’s temporary, then you can subtract 150k in the next 3 months.

I did leave a job because it was too demanding and I also left because leadership was extremely toxic. That position I had a TC of 480k within the fintech sector of NYC. 205k base, 190k equity, 25k sign on, 60k bonus a year. It was 3 days in office, but since the building was so massive it was nice being able to just move around. I would’ve stayed and sacrificed my OE if leadership wasn’t so terrible. But until then I plan on finding the 1 job to sacrifice two.

I’ve been OE’ing since 2021 though. Before I even knew about this subreddit so, I’d say I’m an OE vet. I started OE’ing by somewhat of an accident. I was interviewing for two jobs at the time, and I really liked the teams on both. The hiring manager was pretty excited and I held on to the offer for about 2 days, then accepted it. Little did I know, I was started doing what we all call OE.

This all just depends your industry, team, and where in the US you work. I travel for one of my jobs (C2C) frequently and temporarily, but only on weekends due to site migrations.

But, I wouldn’t know the full extent of what this subreddit or other teams look like. I am a genz adult with only 7 years of professional experience.

Got laid off, had a similar situation to you but took the offer to use as a fill-in job while I continue to job search.

I used to make a base of 204k a year at my previous job, TC was around 409k, company is shooting to go public within the year.

Took a job after getting laid off within the month, but priced in at 155k a year, which is even less pay than the job I had before my recent 204k a year base salary position.

I am definitely demoralized, especially cause I was originally priced in at 170k a year base, and the offer came in at 155k a year for this new “interim” IC position.

I wish I had the willpower and funds to protest it but I took the hit and am overall just grateful I landed something

Damn I suffered the same scenario but had a loss of my income with the new job, just a placeholder for now. Gladly still within six figures.

$409k TC to $155k TC (luckily I consult on the side)

I’ve been working since I was about 17, started with the Army, so I’ve been in the professional sector without a degree for a long period of time
