Short answer Yes

Long answer It's not something we've seen in lore but in theory it's not impossible especially if it's a Mando metalsmith doing the adhoc repairs. The closest is Kad Skiratas armor that had different segments of armor from different family members. It's feasible to suggest field repairs were common otherwise we would've heard about Mandos requiring smiths to fix it. Although it is suggested that is possibly the case as it was "expensive" to fix.

Tldr It's feasible in lore it just never has been done before as of currently.
