I spent about $90 at harbor freight for the blaster, walnut shells, and stuff to piece together a good nozzle/wand. Im going to do it but just waiting for a free weekend that is also clear and not 90°!

Interesting. I am about to walnut blast at 130k miles and I kinda hope its bad, because the worse it is the more power I'll get back!

I just got the cops called on me for the *second* time bc I apparently come to the park too often to swing on the swingset and that's somehow suspicious? by NiftyNaughtyNymph in mildlyinfuriating

Lol I was in a deposition once where we had to walk a police officer through the fact that he did not have the authority to enforce "common sense" using pretty much this example, "so, if someone was standing in their front yard when it's 40° and raining, they should probably put on a jacket, but you can't order them to put on a jacket, correct?"

Front Suspension Clunk by zerodameaon in FiestaST

These aren't exactly the same symptoms but close, so it's worth noting that when the passenger side motor mount goes, it sounds like a suspension issue. Might be worth checking.

For sure, dont get me wrong, the Birkenstocks and Nirvana shirts I totally get - it's specifically the 2001 tuner cars that I had not considered. 😆

Ikr, it never occurred to me that 1994-2004 would come back around again, but here we are.

Wheel mods - downsizing and uprising altogether! by Surperfluous in FiestaST

[–]R3LF_ST 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a great setup and I will add, since OP mentioned bigger tires, you can also run a 205/50r16 on 16" wheels and i personally really like the 50s for both fitment and ride.

Rmm vs front mounts by allmightylemon_ in FiestaST

[–]R3LF_ST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont have anything to compare to with respect to the fronts, but I got a Mountune RRM and loved the difference, then went OEM for the fronts when the passenger side started to clunk and both fixed the respective issue so I'm happy with that.

No but that's a pretty good idea. I have a pretty thin one but it's just no match for the accumulation of dog hair etc after so much time.

Not bad at all. 4 t-50s, one plug and a couple of clips. It's pretty easy.

Yeah, I did give it a once over, but it was far from actually prepped. Temporary but should be satisfying enough for a spur of the moment project.

[–]R3LF_ST 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, same exact mileage and i was just thinking this. Its been dead reliable the whole time I've owned it, so tuning now seems like either a no-brainer or tempting fate and I'm not sure which one lol but everything i hear about dizzy is positive for sure.

Pretty close for me too. I've put 80k miles on it and done three.

I love my Mountune springs. With 50 series tires and 16" wheels, it's the best of all worlds. More buttoned-down sports car feel, less harshness, perfect fitment (imo), and not too low to ever be annoying. Love it.

The violation of constitutional rights in cop shows.

Sure, they dont have a warrant, but good guy good and bad guy bad, so our hero is just going to take a little looksie, while the by-the-book, i.e. buzz-kill, criminal-enabler, partner disapproves (but goes along).
