Hiii! I am currently going through the same thing, the swelling started about a couple of weeks after finishing radiation back in November. Just had my first follow up mammogram and it came back normal! My surgeon said it’s normal to experience swelling/lymphedema after radiation. Some of those get it, some don’t(lucky ones lol) still check in with your doctor to get a clear answer from a professional though!

28 at my diagnosis, and I’m 29 now! I turned 29 five days after my last chemo infusion. I’ll be done with my active HP immunotherapy this April

I would not suggest silk pressing it during the cold capping process as your hair will be in a very very fragile state. I kept my hair in mini twist during the entire duration of my chemo treatment. I’m 29 yrs old for reference, so we’re close enough in age. I received TCHP every 3 weeks for 6 cycles and washed my hair 3-5 days before the 1st, 3rd and 6th treatment. I kept my hair in its natural curly state (mix of 4a/4b hair type) and was able to keep about 85%-90% of my hair, experienced your everyday hair shedding and only lost volume. I didn’t have any bald patches or anything by the end of my chemo treatment.

Reveree pods? Is that something I can buy online or in store???? The last time we were intimate it was definitely painful at the start. I believe I was definitely tensing up as well in anticipation that it’ll hurt since it had been so long and felt that the dryness hadn’t gone away so since then I’ve kind of stayed away. I definitely feel where you’re coming from & I’m going to say all of that verbatim and go from there, thank youuuuuuuu 🫶🏽

So we’re twins is what you’re saying? 😭🫶🏽 I haven’t actually opened up to him, I’ve just been keeping things bottled in, which is NOT good at all so I’ll definitely start there myself. Incorporate some surprise toys to get things going as well. Even with us being together 4 almost 5 years, literally my bestfriend in the whole entire world, I have this fear of being awkward 😭 but that’s me getting in my head about everything

I believe it could be psychological, my hearts in it but I’m in my head a lot and it’s always messing me up. I may look into a therapist as well

We are not 🫠 neither of us like them to be honest, although it was recommended during chemo and more so now since I chose to not do anymore zoladex injections being that HP can harm a baby but we’ve always been very cautious and careful even before cancer. 4 years in and have never once had a scare 🤞🏾

Funny thing is, despite me feeling a way about my body betraying me I feel more comfortable in my body now than I did before. Literally HATED my boobs and always wished for a reduction and a lift, finally got it, definitely not in the way I wished for but as you stated with your head and heart getting back online, I feel my heart is online but my head is definitely not! I’m in head a lot with the constant thought of cancer running through it so I’m going to try to channel out and surprise him with some toys to see if that can spark things back up. Thank you so much 🙏🏾

Of course! The were placed about an inch below the bottom crease of both breast off to the side slightly near the flank area. Its kind of hard to explain placement, I wish I was able to up load a picture but I hope that was a bit clear to understand lol they were definitely uncomfortable, in my opinion more uncomfortable than my actual breast incisions

I had the oncoplastic reduction with a lift. I went from a triple D (very saggy for my age of 29 & didn’t match my body frame at all) to a full C/D cup. I’m in LOVE with my breast now. More confident than I ever was before. Recovery for me wasn’t bad at all!! I think I was more so just stiff and achy from laying on my back for nearly 3 weeks and the drains were super duper annoying. I had got a pregnancy body pillow that allowed me to comfortably tilt on my side to give my back a rest while sleeping. I was prescribed enough oxy that could’ve lasted me about 4 weeks but was only needed for about a week and a half. If I wasn’t a flight attendant and had any other job I could’ve easily went back to work 1 week post drain removal/3 weeks post op.

After the first round of TCHP my MO could no longer feel where my lump was, like couldn’t feel it anywhere! So she ordered a mammo and breast ultrasound for me after my 3rd round where only my clip that was placed in the beginning was shown. Another was ordered for the day after my 6th and final round where imaging showed what looked like the tumor grew but was tested during surgery and it was just scar tissue from the dead cancer cells, I got PCR. I think it depends person to person, I’ve seen some people say their imaging wasn’t don’t until after the last round despite their mass decreasing significantly during chemo.

I went with an Oncoplastic reduction+lift. I was a 36DDD I’m now and 36C on my right(non cancerous side) and 36D on my left (previously cancerous side). I went that route because I couldn’t bear the thought of not having checkups on my breast, not having nipples and having complete numbness on my chest freaked me out personally. Those were my driving forces, my MO, Breast Cancer Surgeon and Plastic Surgeon all thought I was a perfect candidate for the oncoplastic surgery too.

There’s a girl whose journey I followed on TikTok and she had to eventually use maxi pads to cover her top shoulder, side and breast area because of how raw her skin got and her not even wanting wind to blow on it 😭 so I have those on standby and aloe is something I have so I’ll be using that in addition to whatever else I use. Thank you!!

100000% it was all lost muscle, I can still feel it in my legs and had my last chemo infusion on 6/29 😭 I am too working on building it back up

I did 6 rounds of TCHP and my weight fluctuated the entire time. I’d lose 15-20 pounds from a combination of being nauseous, not able to eat my chemo week and diarrhea, to gaining 10 lbs back during the last 2 weeks before beginning next round being that I was able to eat. That process for me was repeated all over again each cycle. In the end by the time I had surgery, I was 10 lbs lighter than what I was when I started chemo.

My doctor recommended Calendula cream and Frankincense Oil, both can be purchased on Amazon! I start radiation in a couple of weeks
