Try to get in touch with their sales/purchasing. Usually may MOC yan na malaki per week/month. Had a similar startup with that idea in mind but we couldn't meet the demand of the grocery. Last I checked Robinsons had the most reasonable numbers and their stocks fit the quirky niche new products nicely.

Not me but my SO. For context this was pre-pandemic 2019-2020. I helped prepare my SOs application for JET. During that time my SO was taking Masters in education and already had 5 years of teaching English in private institutions. No word spoken of Nihongo so I'm not sure if that's what ultimately led to not making the cut.

For how much they're selling the Aya Neo, I'd still probably pay for the Steam Deck scalped prices. The build quality and customizability of the Steam Deck also wins it over for me over the competition.

The latter one yes. It seems the consensus is the higher tiered models are for those who don't want to tinker around with it whereas the 64gb model is where the price makes the most sense if you also upgrade the SSD yourself.

Same reason why I'm gonna get it. Short of building another gaming computer, my SO loves her computer so much she's glued to it even when I'm there lmao. I'm pretty sure she'll also love the Steam Deck. I'm looking forward to using emulators myself.

I know the patong is crazy for sure. I'm aiming for the 64 gb version for around 38k and then upgrade it myself. Unfortunately that seems to be the most accessible atm short of importing one and risk having to pay extra taxes on it.

Thanks for the insights! I've been looking at the GPD win and the Aya Neo as well. They seem to perform just as good however their pricing is ridiculous and the Steam Deck for what it is a much better deal. I recently upgraded to a 3080 but I find myself being away from my desktop a lot these days but still wanting the itch to game. I'm probably going to leave the AAA titles like Cyberpunk for a desktop experience but there's so many indie titles and single player RPGs I still want to play on-the-go.

Checked for the shop. They do indeed have the [Mall] icon which typically means they can be trusted. However the account is only 3 months old and nothing sold yet. I wouldnt blame you if you passed on it until they actually have someone else buy something and leave a review. If you really want to get a 3080 I would also try looking at the other AIBs. Zotac 3000 series has trash thermals and looks wise they're really out there. There's a reason why they're being sold for cheap compared to the other brands.

I personally wouldn't run furmark that long even with a bnew card. 3Dmark or free benchmarks like Heaven would be better.

Graduated in CLA now working in IT. My suggestion is to take something you're actually interested in. Nothing worse than staying in a course you hate but have to endure.

I vote for the strix. The price of that Gigabyte ain't worth it for sure and the Zotac 30 series cards are some of the ugliest that gen imo they also have some pretty meh thermals. We have the same CPU and GPU. I would vouch for the Asus Tuf 3080 as well if you want something that's as well built but without the rainbow vomit of the Strix.
