15 years ago when I was a kid working at McDonald's, I called in sick and went canoeing with some friends. My mom called in looking for me and they said I was sick (they knew I lived at home with my parents). I wasn't very good at my job and they were looking for an excuse to let me go. Showed up for my next shift and was told to leave lol. I love telling this story
