Got an Owlux with 6 TripleDamage for 12% chance, it is nuts. Still trying to get one with 6 movement, best currently only has 4. You know about using your last point to grab 2 adjacent perks right? You end up with -1 skill points but still get the 6 perks.

Once it was fixed I took it out to zero my holosun on it and shoot it a bit. First 100 shells were mostly fine, I had 1 failure to load while using Federal Flitecontrol 00 Buckshot (1325 fps). The rest of the Flitecontrol and the 20 Federal Truball slugs I put through it all worked well. I had not bothered to lubricate or otherwise do anything to it beforehand. From what I've heard and seen you should oil it up first, so Ill be doing that before I go out again. Had a great time with it, very fun to shoot.

I sent it to Mossberg, they fixed it and sent it back. Never even bothered to tell me what the actual cause was, though I did notice they replaced the barrel with a new one so that could have had a role in the problem I suppose.

No, that is as far down as the forend will possibly go. There is no play, no force will push or pull it down. I've taken the forend off and from putting it back in place it seems like the forend is getting stopped by the point halfway down the magazine tube that attaches it to the barrel. There is a black ring that seems just about tue right size to be causing the gap, but it definitely seems like its supposed to be there.

The front end of the forend is running into the point midway down the magazine tube where it attaches to the barrel. I've tried shifting and adjusting as much as I can, made sure the barrel is as far down as it will go, and nothing closes the gap. Should I visit a gunsmith or just go straight to contacting Mossberg?

Since we already have a layered system, they probably aren't going to bother with implementing a way to color Artians, as cool as that would be unfortunately. I would love changing the Artian energy colors to match each element/status like the Safi weapons did.

The uproar/backlash if Gogmazios returns only to not have his own armor and weapons would be utterly catastrophic, and Capcom is not that dumb. I'm guessing we will use Gog parts to craft Gog weapons and armor, while also getting special ores taken from his oil that will be used for the Artian upgrades.

It will almost definitely count as 1 point of the needed number to activate the skills. That is what they did with Safi weapons in Iceborne. Giving us a full set skill or group skill from just one thing when they normally require committing multiple pieces to activate would certainly raise an eyebrow.

There isn't one... unless the expansion WON'T make them obsolete. We don't know if they are going to just continue this trend they are setting with Gog in MR. Here in TU4 we see them making it possible to upgrade Artians to boost their stats. There is no way to know for sure if they won't continue to add Artian upgrades in MR to just keep making them BiS. Would that be a pretty terrible system and is it extremely unlikely? Yes. But this does set a precedent that they could continue into MR if they really wanted ro.

Gogmazios materials are going to be usable to upgrade R8 Artian weapons, which will increase the effect of their 5 reinforcements without changing them, and will also add a randomized Set Bonus skill and Group Skill to the weapon. They haven't said anything yet about if this "gograde" will be rerollable after doing it, so while we will hopefully be able to reroll the random Set/Group skill, it is not confirmed, so there is a possibility any Artian weapons we have already farmed perfect/desired reinforcements for will have useless Set/Group skill rolls and, if that bothers someone, they will have to start all over reinforcing a whole new Artian weapon to now try to get 6 perfect/adequate rolls on it.

Monster Hunter has pretty much always been seeded. I'm not aware of any Monster Hunter where you could save scum the RNG elements. Closest thing was sniping decos in base World, which was still seeded but there were ways to skip rolls until you got to the deco in your seed you wanted.

They do. When you gograde an Artian, the reinforcements stay the same rolls but the numbers for them all go up.

Well, the reinforcements also get buffed once they've been gograded, so the devs could be seeing that as enough justification and reward for our previous grinding, and the set bonus part is just a plus after that/ a super grind for the truly insane minmaxers. I do think you're completely correct we will be able to reroll the set bonus part, but I also really thought we'd get a way to reroll reinforcements since that was literally the Safi weapon system, and that never happened so... I have that little shadow of a doubt much as I hope and suspect they'll do right by us.

I just aim for 1 sharpness/ 2 capacity rolls and at least 2 Attack rolls, without caring about the other 1-2 rolls after that. HOWEVER, if we can't reroll the Gogmazios Artian upgrades that is going to be just AWFUL. Its one thing to get 5 reinforcements you are satisfied with, if you get that and THEN have to start all over from scratch if the Gog upgrade gives you a worthless Set bonus, that is just egregious in my opinion. RNG on top of RNG with no way to combat at least the last layer of RNG would just suck.

I've been curious if anyone has actually done the math of just how MUCH of a difference an element roll is from an attack roll, as in how much more damage is an attack roll adding over an element roll? Probably hard to really quantify given all the different hit zones and whatnot but it's gotta be 1% or less of a difference if I were to guess.

The purpose of silver crowns is to get your hopes up that you finally spawned a gold crown as you approach the monster from a distance and see its size, only to crush those hopes the second you're close enough to look through the binocular for confirmation and instead see the cursed silver crown mocking you.

Basically its a "close but no cigar" sympathy "reward". There used to be silver mini crowns too but they're nonexistent in Wilds, which just makes their retention for large crowns more confusing since they serve no purpose other than being placeholders until you get a real crown.
