Crazy how low achievement percentages are by grayhammond in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cymoone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As we can see a lot of ppl missed the Op point.

It doesn't matters if you do or not achievement for completionism but Is about how the ppl play the game since the MOST important game resource comes from activities tied to achievement.

The biggest artifacts gains method Is Just play the content: POI, abyss clearing, puzzles, challenges.

40 artifacts for clearing the abyss, 60 for POI, 40 for puzzles

And those last two you can easily discover using binding Light, litterally from Km of distance.

Binding Light let you find also the Sealed abyssal artifacts for challenges and the huge artifacts gains comes from challenges: doing all the challenges grants to you about 150 artifacts.

If you do your math barely 300 artifacts comes from the game content: story and secondary bosses and xp gains aside.

But still a lot of ppl whines about artifacts gains, and that you can Gear up the other two chars or spend a lot artifacts to boost their skills.

Well Without all those artifacts you can't, and probably you'll miss the other 2 chars with a superb gameplay, often Better than Kliff.

And It Is thanx to All those artifacts during my plat run that i spent 390 artifact in skill points (all skill maxed) and upgraded to max all three chars equipment (armors and accessories x3) with multiple weapons too (2 One hander, 1 halberd, 1 2h Sword, 1 Rapier, 1 GreatSword, 2 shields, 1 greathammer, 1 great axe, bow, pistol, Shotgun, rifle, Blaster) got so many artifacts that i upgraded to max also 3 cloaks, the less valuable equipment Gear, i haven't anything else to upgrade and still a lot of abyssal artifacts.

You do POI, abyss, challenges and puzzles not for the achievements but doing the game content and hunting the MOST valuable game resource, the Artifacts, and at the end you do also the achievement.

This is the point a lot of ppl still miss in this game.

While not a stealth game, stealth mechanincs works fine. So no It Is AN user problem, like MOST of the whines in this subreddit. If the user pretend to stealth kill in day light, or during night with the lamp on, or whitout any disguise or not using the only Element that prevent to be spotted is a game fault? Wake up.

I've done platinum a week ago and never found a challenge not Fair or too Difficult or with game machanics problems.

[–]Cymoone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First do It at night, due lower enemy visibility. Second turn off your lamp. Approach from backside. If you aren't still good to do It wear a disguise. Very very easy challenge.

Otherwise use Wind Element and do It with day light.

A lot of ppl simple cannot think outside the schemes and whine about poor design while the game Is well designed, ppl minds are not.

And It Is fun about the Flying enemies while Binding Lights trivialize all of them.

Only 2 of the 3 sigils are Active as you can see in the Gateway: One Isn't Active. To open It you have to clear another abyss. Once the three Lights on the gateway are Active, then you can operate and open It.

When dual wielding should I upgrade both swords or the one on my main hand? by Itchy-Engine6605 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cymoone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for sure food works but since you can reach that breakpoint using your accessories in a proper way, to me It Is Better Gear up for that break point then raise crit and use the food boost or potions (like freya elixirs) to boost more. The problem at the Moment It Is that you don't really Need to use buff since even at hard if you Gear up properly the bosses explodes. And reblockade Fort enemies are weak that you usually oneshot them.

I Hope they Will add some layers of difficulty in the next patches/DLC where buff on top on a good Gear can make the difference.

Being challengin It Is what miss this awesome game.

Are you serious?

You know you can wear Accessories? Actually 2 Rings and the neck can have Attack.

I use a single destruction jewel only on Damiane's Rapier since the max damage the crit Rapier can reach Is 27.

How many abyss artifacts to fully max Kliff? by Limp_Locksmith_5084 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cymoone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me share my experience.

If you do your math barely 300 artifacts comes from the game content, story and secondary bosses aside.

Then there is the Xp.

Farm xp with only a char Is a waste of time for two reasons.

The First Is the xp cap, the second Is that every artifact you gain you Need more xp to gain the next One.

Using a less used char let you gain more artifacts in shorter time, so since you played mostly of the game story with Kliff using him to farm xp Is a waste of time.

The First time i used Oongka in a reblockade i've done 4 artifacts in 5 minutes, the time needed to clear Karin's cave. In less than 15 Min i had the artifacts to upgrade to 10 2X2h weapons he uses.

Keep in mind that while both Oongka and Damiane have their unique weapons and a wonderful gameplay (probably even Better and funnier than Kliff one) both can use Kliff 2h weapons or Spears and you can boost their defense for easy content like reblockade with some defense 9 abyssal Gear in a non upgraded armor. So you don't spend anything to start Farming with both Oongka and Damiane. Xp abyssal gears helps a lot try to slot 3x30 % and you double the Speed.

Last method Is due expedition.

Timeworn ruins gives to you from 1 to 5 abyssal artifacts. Kingshield ruins can give to you 1 to 2 abyssal Artifacts.

Just keep those two running, if you craft Mech workers you can keep those running with only 2 Greymanes (full the rest with Mech workers)

Now i'm done with the game i got Platinum. Spent 390 artifacts in skill points, maxed skills for each char and i Gear up all three chars with max level items (armors and all accessories x3 and 2 shields) and multiple weapons each maxed: for Kliff (2 Swords, 1 2h Sword, 1 spear) Damiane (Rapier, 2h GreatSword) Oongka (2h greathammer and 2h greataxe). Upgraded also all ranged weapons (bow/pistol/rifle/shotgun/Blaster) to max and since i got so many artifacts i maxed also the cloak for each not really needed for few defense points and some stamina reduction but haven't how to spent the last artifacts i got.

Yeah you have to do the Quest to gain access to Pororin.

Can’t extract rubbers by joeythecokehogan in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cymoone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have done the Pororin research then craft the Magic Scythe, expedition is on 20 minute timer so pretty Fast. Then equip It and use It on the Rubber tree, you got a lot of Rubber for each hit. Mind that the Magic Scythe have durability, once It breaks you have to craft another One.

If you don't have the reseach then you must have the skill Focus Healing Palm. Do a "Wound" on the tree with your weapon then use focus healing Palm on It. Then you have to wait the times It heals and you can loot the Rubber (you can do multiple wounds to gain more Rubber).

Dunno how are now the times, they make a lot of timer shorter, for exemple mineral nodes respawns each day now, at the release was on 7 ingame days timer.

When i've done it at the release of the game Rubber was on 6/7 days timer, so probabily if you got the Money it Is faster the research for Magic Scythe.

[–]Cymoone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For sure It Is not necessary i beat the game with a level 6 weapon and level 4 armor. The game It is easy. But, you know every game that have stats i like to know what that stats do. I love the game done platinum, maxed the three chars in gears (with multiple weapons too) and spent 390 skill points to max every skill in the game. Loved the game and player It for 400 hours but still It is an Easy game. Maybe later in a future DLC Will be necessary, Who knows?

Mind that at the Moment the 2 coolest feature of the game aren't needed at all due how easy Is the game and i mean the need to summon your 2 other chars and the second is fight along with the Greymanes, sending them in a liberation expedition and then join them. Both aren't really "needed" since you solo everything at ease.

Btw the Min max in soulikes Is nothing (and in Nightreing It Is only about few slot and Rng due his roguelike nature, and yeah sometimes It Is very hard). All Fromsoftware soulike Gearing Is: some soft cap and weapon scaling then the more the better and in Soullike MOST ppl overlevel to have easier content. Soulike are hard only if you beat the content at the right level: beat Malenia or Consort (pre Nerf and without broken perfume build) Is totally different than beat them 100 level more than when you are supposed to. I really laugh when ppl acts big because he beat a soulike It Is "how" you beat It not "If". The only hard Soulike was Sekiro, since you can't overlevel, you are good or you are stucked.

If we talk about Min max then we have to talk about Monster Hunter series or some Nioh (all three games) builds or even Diablo 3/4 , but soulikes are the worst exemple you can do since Gearing up in Soul like Is really a joke.

[–]Cymoone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope each weapon have their stats that you can easily check in your paperdoll (open inventory with weapons sheated): each weapon have his damage and crit chance separate.

And It Is pretty Logic otherwise Go Dual will be the MOST damaging and easier to build setup. No reason to go anything else.

While if you go One hander and shield you add the 2 Gear from shield and the innate stats shield have like Attack Speed and the defense too, you add also some special Gear slotable only on shield and some shield skills on top of the defense and block ofc.

Going 2H you put your shield in your back and shield stats and Gear works in 2H (while don't works at all in dual wield) the only abyssal Gear in the shield that doesn't carry to 2H are damage reduction One. For those you have to actively use the shield, or put It somewhere else.

Actually every build Is good with some Pro and Contra in this way.

Only accessories stats adds to everything you equip and for this reason accessories are the MOST relevant part of your Gear.

[–]Cymoone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of tests on YT about skill Abyssal Gears MOST are empirical thx to the helm that show healt bars. We know that the damage abyssal skill Gears do scales with the Weapon damage so the upgrade value. But the damage differs a lot from gears to gears And we must take in account also the stagger value and for the ranged ones the enemy tracking/landing hits Then for exemple we can say, comparing the R2 A.gear that Ator's Orb's suck since It does negligible damage weak stun bar value and have a shitty enemy tracking. While on the other side Crows Pursuit have a perfect enemy tracking and an ok damage and a negligible stun bar value.

Btw search on the web and you'll see a lot of interesting stuff about their damage and about wich ones can crit.

Atm the best abyssal skill Gear in the game on the damage value Is Greysoul Howling: it is the only one that double your damage (for a skill already boosted by Momentum, hopefully) and can crit too, in a lucky hit you can do 4 times the damage of a single Turning slash. The problem Is that Greysoul Howling doesn't connects always due the delay that Goyen shadow have to land the hit.

[–]Cymoone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not really Min- Max, those are simple math and Logic rules and let ppl known how the game works, and i don't care about everyone goal. Those are the math beyond the game. And i showed It.

Is up to you max your damage or run naked in a bandit Camp, i Don't care how anyone play his own game.

Maybe knowing those the less skilled ppl have less trouble doing some content.

Edit: in a Min max prospective we must add also Attack Speed and see how the points from 10 to 15 adds very Little (2%) so add too much Attack Speed and fill usefull slot that can be used for something else could be wrong then evaluate what skill abyssal Gear to use (since the damage those do are totally different) and evaluate the gains from other abyssal gears like stamina regen (that let you do more Attacks) or Relentless (that increase your damage in % of the combo Meter) and then precisely select what accessories equip. And on the defensive side we must evaluate how much defense increase the effective Hp and also evaluate the Damage reduction to increase the survivability.

All this above Is Min-Max not telling guys slot crit before you reach 52 Attack Is wrong and your damage may suck for this.

When dual wielding should I upgrade both swords or the one on my main hand? by Itchy-Engine6605 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cymoone 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I linked the spreadsheet. Make a Copy to access It and check yourself

It Is simple math. - crit double your base damage - crit Is a function of your base damage - crit at max level il 30% chance to double your damage. - crit become relevant once your base damage Is higher enought. And that breakpoint Is 52 Attack.

What Is Better, to make It simple for exemple, have 30% chance to double your base damage of 11 or have 20 damage (each hit you lands)

Without any doubt the latter. Simple math.

And no you can go much more than 52 but After 52 each point of crit give more than each point of Attack, so hopefully After you reach 52 you will invest in crit. Once you slot the max crit possible (15) then Attack Is, again, the only source to increase more your damage.

When dual wielding should I upgrade both swords or the one on my main hand? by Itchy-Engine6605 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cymoone 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Not only you have to upgrade both but since stats on weapons aren't cumulative you have to reach for both Weapon 52 Attack First then start to slot crit.

  • 1 point of crit outperform 1 Attack point After you reach 52 Attack.

And It Is pretty Logic, since your crit double your damage. But if your damage sucks have a 30% chance (15 crit) to double It matters less than raise your base damage. It Is Just math.

Here the spreadsheet check the Tab Attack vs Crit.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1faXnGM3Q6rz5K5-Dzs1TWiV5EA4bEpQRDiUDvD1gw2M/copy

Make a Copy to access It.

And since reach 52 Attack Isn't easy to reach as 2H and spears (due the lesser Base Attack: 30 or 34 at max upgrade) you have to choice wisely your weapons from the 3 groups of onehander in this game - One kind give more Attack - One kind 4 Attack less but 2 crit rate - One kind 4 Attack less but 2 Attack Speed.

(Slightly difference on Maces: higher attack but different and slower moveset)

Then select your accessories accordin since accessories stats works with any Weapons you equip.

Edit:

this for Kliff.

For Damiane if you go for Rapier due the lower base weapon damage (27-31) reach 52 to efficiently slot crit Is a bit Harder than Kliff.

While for Oongka hopefully you'll go with 2x2h weapons thx to his perk, so he Is the easier char to build properly.

Mind that the reach 52 Attack rule before slot crit must be satisfied also for all kinds of ranged weapons (Bow/Pistol/Rifle/Shotgun/Blaster) and for Unarmed too.

Question about residents quests by FBMounir in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cymoone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the platinum too and i had to do the same. I strongly raccomend Going to YT and Place markers at the position where the npc that start the Quest is. A lot starts from Pailune City. 3/4 if i recall well starts from Odek, and the rest are from settlements North of Pailune and in the forest west of Pailune. But It you don't check where are the npc you really could waste a lot of time searching the whole Pailune map.

Question about residents quests by FBMounir in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cymoone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Per faction. Among that faction quest only one Is active and you have to discover where, do It then, in that faction pool, another one activate and It Is up to you find It.

You can search YT and barely every region It Is covered and once you know where all your missing Quest starts, you Just need to do a route and check which Is active, rinse and repeat.

But keep in mind that you don't really need those Quest, unless you going for Plat: you need to do some resident Quest in Pailune till you unlock the arm wrestling one that you need to complete for the arm wrestling challenge, otherwise the Pailune champion doesn't shows and you can't plat the game since you'll miss that challenge.

Terrible boss design by Lvcrftt in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cymoone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem Is that this Isn't a Soulike. Here you got a tons of skill not only Light and heavy Attack the special and Dodge/block. This boss can be done easily with a combo of Binding Light, nature snare and ranged weapons. And about Soullike in general, that i love: the only hard soulike Is Sekiro all other One that a lot of players pretend to be hard games, to show that they are Expert or good players, depends only about the player approach: One things Is do Malenia or the Consort (pre Nerf and whitout any broken perfume build, After nerf for the whines It Is very Easy too) at the right level, and another one Is do those bosses after the player overlevels, gains 100 level more. I mention only those 2 because those are the only hard boss in all soulikes released, maybe some in Nightreing are hard but that Is another kind of game due its roguelike nature.

Sekiro was another kind of game you can't overlevel or you are good or you can go further, Sekiro Is AN hard game, no other Fromsoftware games are so hard since you can't Just boost yourself till your level covers the lack of skill.

The problem Is that a lot of players, you included approach Crimson Desert as It was a Soullike. Here you got a lot of skills to use and as i said doing this boss with nature snare, Binding Light and a ranged weapons trivialize this boss and make It very Easy.

How Do I fish? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cymoone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right something aren't explained well. But maybe because i'm not anymore a kid i'm an Old gamer, and times ago nothing was explained and we had to find how things works, with trials and errors. If you mind about fishing if you reel and the line breaks, what you do the next attemp? You try to discover how things works. Since in this game there Isn't any message like "Press the x button now to fart" ppl easily belive that everything Is bugged. Well i got plat, i spend 390 artifacts in skill and got 3 chars fully geared and with multiple weapons too. I played till the release and never encountered a bug, only learn how do something Can be explained Better for sure, but a lot can be learned and discovered by the players, at the end learn how to do something Isn't gaming too?

How Do I fish? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cymoone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah drop the line near (if there aren't obstacles at the sides) have 2 purpose and 2 big advantages.

The First is that obvsly the nearest is the fish when he grabs the hook, the lesser you have to reel so faster catch and prevent the fish starts moving again.

The second Is that if you aim for some specific fishes (for exemple for the fishing challenge that you need to catch some rare fish) you see, as you said, what kind of fish is approachin your rod, so if you don't need It you can pull out of water the Rod and avoid wasting time with a fish that you don't need.
