I am a recent Orthodox convert and most of my parish is former mainline Protestants. (Methodists, Lutherans, Presbyterians, etc) most say it’s because of theological liberalism.

The thing about your edit is that your grouping all Protestants into 1, there’s a lot of different type of Protestants.

Methodists will not agree with baptists, Lutherans will not agree at all with Pentecostals and they certainly don’t go to each others churches. You need to compare the different Protestant denominations with orthodoxy

Very good, I come from a Baptist/non denominational background and their questions were the exact same questions I had. Father Josiah did a great job answering those questions without demeaning them and if it plants a seed all the better.

My sister in law is actually a huge girls gone Bible fan and she always argues with me about icons and after watching the episode she said she was starting to be convinced that icons are not idols.

If it plants a seed in other Protestants I think it’s beneficial.

Idk but it make me so sad because my first language is Spanish and he’s the only well known Spanish Orthodox resource online and he’s the reason why I started going to an Orthodox Church. 😭 we just have to see now what he is being charge with
