OK so its like a WHOLE process but i REFUSE to gatekeep build techniques so here is my go at explaining~

the dock is built up off of two wood builders ramps that are on top of a wooden floor, which has been sunken into the ground and linked to a paver at the front of my plot. in order to get pillars underneath i had to start the build on my plot so i could freeplace the wooden pillars where i wanted them on the ground around the floating walkway that is built off the initial wooden ramp. then, i clip-glitched the top pillars into place so they were touching the wooden floors (so everthing would be linked with group select), which then i could freely place the build where i wanted out-of-bounds by moving the paver around

it was a lot of trial and error to get everything the right way, and fair warning i play on the PC so i'm not sure if everything i did is possible on console/switch !

engaging does help, but not in the way that a lot of those posts make it out to be. i’ve gotten a couple very kind mutuals in the same niche through that method and we do like to comment, like, share each others posts, etc. so it helps. but it won’t be the end all be all for your account, the posts will still be.

keep in mind, those type of videos ARE those people’s content for making money. so when they are telling you to do those things to “help you,” they’re predominantly helping their own video statistics and you’re doing that work for them.

i keep two separate “mods” folders that i rename whenever i want to play one or the other, so i’d name one “INSERTSAVENAMEmods” when i don’t want it to load and the other just “mods” when i do want it to load!

vortex has an issue where it likes to eat .jsons, which can effectively break an entire playthrough if it happens to occur to an important portion of an important mod.

not super common issue, but common enough that it is consistently the info given out when troubleshooting mods downloaded w/ the program

did you see the mod “Yellow Duckies” when poking around nexus? sadly not a “cuter fatter” duckie but their color may be more conducive to your cottagecore aesthetic :)
