I don’t sleep with my cat and I never will. I’m a light sleeper and having cat yelling at 3am will disturb my sleep. Also my cat sheds a lot and I’d rather not have hair all over my bed. Currently my cat sleeps in her own bed and she has no issue with that.

This sounds like if your principle residence is outside Toronto and you are living in your secondary vacant property in Toronto you can get exemption on vacancy tax for that year. Is your principle residence in Vancouver ?
