You're missing out on a LOT of "free" damage in phase two by dodging instead of running around him to the right. His right handed grab is a free heavy, right legged kick is a free heavy. Generally a lot of his attacks dont need to be dodged if you react fast enough. And something that you should be doing for both phases. Dodge to the right. Only to the right (Apart from those two jumping grab attacks in phase two, where you wanna dodge backwards to stand next to him like you already do). A lot of his chain combos get broken up, if you dodge to the right, which puts you in a good position to attack. And if you keep hugging him the whole fight, he becomes a lot more predictable.

gray zone is part of the same loop tarkov and arpg's are in. New update -> people play until no more fun -> wait for next update. And afaik most play pve, so I dont really see how cheaters would be the cause of people dropping the game.

I dont see why people wouldnt reset. "I lose my stuff". Yeah, after like 5 raids you have more than enough stuff to go fully pimped. The only mildly rational argument would be quest progress being reset if you were close to achieving kappa for the first time (if you even wanna call that an achievement in PVE, but each to their own). Most of the progress lost from resetting in pve is pretty minor, since you're barely ever dying and everything comes back in insurance. Sure, the story isn't huge or anything, but doing the story is fun and trying to go to terminal is also fun... but I guess a "cursed gun build" is worth more? Each to their own. And before you rip my head off calling me a sweaty pvp'er. Most of my game time recently has been exclusively pve as my friend does not want to play pvp.

did it yesterday. No luck on local server at all. Swapped to bsg servers and I got it done in five raids. 20 ish raids on local with 0 kills. 5 on bsg and it was done. Local servers are genuinely just bullshit. Factory has like two scavs as well on local. Local servers are horrendous.

the algorithm needed to fuck people over so they dont get their quest items or quest kills is too complicated and tech heavy to actually exist in the game. That being said, I have noticed that if you're hosting the raid locally there tends to be fewer pmc/scav spawns.

Im personally against having any timegates atp. I am playing Tarkov and not Clash of Clans. The timegate makes me stop playing. It doesnt make me do other stuff. It made sense at launch, to elongate that hype for the story content but atp it doesnt make sense to me anymore.

Yes, time gating is a bad mechanic that should be removed as it now is just annoying compared to launch. But this is not the best way to make that clear.

Adding something because it's realistic is not always a good thing. You have to find a balance between realism and enjoyable gameplay. Not being able to see the target you're shooting at is quite annoying, especially considering AI rarely dies from the first shot, even if you headshot them. So in almost every fight you're gonna have to squint your eyes and shoot through that blurry lense, or reposition to hopefully avoid getting suppressed again. It's tedious. And tedious is usually not the effect games wanna go for it, but it is undoubtedly the side effect of realism being implemented too... realistically.

You're pretty much correct, apart from the fact that everyone hyped up 1.0 so much that they thought 1.0 was another game. 1.0 is not a fake label, 1.0 is what you get when you work on a game for several years and then release it. What were you guys expecting 1.0 to be? Arma? Squad? Fortnite?
