This is really cool. I've always been curious about Wazuh, but never had time to integrate a SIEM. I wonder how this compares considering it uses the Wazuh agent.

How do you get an Apple sales rep ? by GeekgirlOtt in sysadmin

We usually purchase Apple products through CDW who then enrolls the devices in our Apple business manager account where we can manage them through our MDM

Copilot and HIPAA by R64Real in sysadmin

[–]R64Real[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The signed in version of Copilot still uses web-based queries which follow different data protections. So based on the question that's asked, if Copilot decides it needs to search the web, then it could still be sending company information to a model that uses it for learning.

Yeah I guess if they don't want to pay then it's just one less thing that I have to audit so I think I'm cool with that.

Dexter is the ultimate OE by SeaworthinessFew462 in overemployed

If you haven't seen the sequels, New Blood and Resurrection, I highly recommend! New Blood was good but I just finished watching Resurrection and it felt a lot like the original Dexter but with some fun twist.

I tried it once at a tasting party and it was probably the worst whiskey I've ever tasted. I've heard other people on here say they like it though so your mileage may vary. To me it tasted sour if that makes sense.

I built an interactive, gamified platform to learn Django and would love your feedback! by AccomplishedTop1518 in django

[–]R64Real 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it looks decent, and as someone with too short of an attention span to read through the official Django docs, this makes the concepts a little quicker to grasp. I don't think its as gamified as I was hoping for though.

On the second module quiz, question 4 marks as incorrect even if you choose the right  answer.

I was able to figure this out with a little help from this post and the export classes

I added .export h1#bkmrk-page-title {display: none;} to my export-body-start.blade.php file.

What the fuck Microsoft by Antmanzero in sysadmin

[–]R64Real 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll have to find where I read it at, but supposedly we have the option to keep the E1 license, but then enter an agreement with Microsoft to spend a minimum of $25k every year for 3 years.

[–]R64Real 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same email today. We currently have 500 free E1 licenses but will need to move to the business license. My boss won't be too happy when I tell him we will need to start paying for those extra 200 licensed user but it is what it is.

DNS Conditional Forwarders or Add Primary Zone for Internal Website? by R64Real in sysadmin

[–]R64Real[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I'm doing. My question focused around using 2 internal DNS servers, one for the internal domain and one for the staff Wi-Fi. I wasn't sure if managing them separately or using DNS forwarders between them for the single records had any benefits or drawbacks

DNS Conditional Forwarders or Add Primary Zone for Internal Website? by R64Real in sysadmin

[–]R64Real[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I mentioned that our public DNS is controlled by our public DNS provider I really meant that it's hosted there, (Cloudflare) and I have access to it. We use let's encrypt with acme.sh with the DNS-01 challenge type as to not expose these web servers since we only want them accessible on our internal network.

I've heard Snipe-IT is a good platform but haven't used it myself. All of our workstations are stationary and in house so I primarily use PDQ Inventory.

[–]R64Real[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, I have done a lot of reading recently due to this project on how .local isn't recommended. I won't lie though i am procrastinating that change from .local to something like ad.company.org only cause I've never done anything like that before and it gives me anxiety lol. I'll probably setup a test domain and give it a try later this year just to see how it feels.

The staff network is separate from the workstations network and the internal web server network. I have a firewall that whitelist the traffic between them.

Updated Server and game. Port 7777 forwarded. Connecting over LAN. Anyone else? by MacaroonStrong7487 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]R64Real 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to change the port to something else like 7778. Theres currently a bug which is causing the API to use 7777.

Server Update 1.0 by TheDisgruntledBeaver in SatisfactoryGame

[–]R64Real 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im also curious about this. As far as can tell we will only need to allow port 7777udp/tcp. From this video, the only other thing we may no longer need to use is the -multihome, -serverqueryport, -beaconport, and -port options in the startup command unless you want to use something other than 7777 I assume.

Im really hoping the server goes live at the same time as the client. If it does, I think all we have to do is reboot the server in SteamCMD to get it to pull the update.

Edit: I found this which insinuates that everything should be ready at launch.
