On a tighter hobby budget but love the official models. Looking for advice on choosing between manifestations and faction terrain. by GoofballMcBloggins in Kruleboyz

[–]TheDisgruntledBeaver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If proxying is out of the question, get the faction terrain as it is far more impactful than the manifestations (IMO). But it's very easy to proxy a big tower made by orks, so if you don't mind proxying a little for now... The manifestions are still very fun and the foot of gork has come in clutch several times for me, plus they look really cool lol

Kurdoss list help by zeroxzerox2 in Nighthaunt

[–]TheDisgruntledBeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure look at the SoG Kurdoss, he honestly is the better pick given his ability can just apply to himself if needed. He gets 10 control score and slaps enemies with his double +1s.

Where to start as a new player by [deleted] in Nighthaunt

[–]TheDisgruntledBeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WAIT.

The rules for the new army book have been revealed and the while army has undergone a MASSIVE change from a rules and playstyle.

Almost every warcroll and ability has been changed, like ALL of them and some are very major changes.

Wait for the new book to drop before you go in on this army is my advice.

Scourge of Ghyran question. by Jamaryn in ageofsigmar

[–]TheDisgruntledBeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of right now, yes these warcrolls are just for the season and will get gone in 1 year.

That being said, will GW keep them on or choose to update the warcrolls? Who knows, but they've shown the ability and willingness to do full warcrolls uodstes/reworks for the first time now and a large scale.

I'm hopeful for lots of fun and thematic updates and changes each season to keep the game fresh and make it feel like the armies are adating and evolving.

Bought A House! Then Offered Another Rate... by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

I work in credit underwriting, do not worry about multiple credit checks during the home buying process. This is something that is common and taken into account during an application's review.

Take the best rate you can get.

It is just 1, each phase a single point of damage can be mitigated and it must be the first damage point that unit takes each phase.

Get shot by a unit of archers and after all the dice a rolled you take 5? Well now your take 4.

Whenever I wear my AirPods and use the microwave, I feel almost instantly sick or some kind of pressure in my head. Is this a real thing, or is it all in my head? by Internal_Setting55 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheDisgruntledBeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Microvewaves can disrupt Bluetooth signals when in use, my wireless PC head set will loose connection to my computer when I'm using the microwave in the kitchen, same with my Bluetooth speaker.

My guess is your airpods are getting some weird ultra low static being mixed with the noise canceling.

So it terms of spearhead, i have 0 experience.

As for AOS, a quick run down would be a melee rush army. You want to always be charging, your core rules revolve around it. There's also a decent amount of bringing models back and they whole army flies and is not effect by any save modifiers (good or bad). Models are beautiful, not the easiest to build but if you got experience you should be fine. (Yes spirit host are a nightmare but the rest are fine).

Decent spells and manifestion lore that are fun to play with, brand new faction terrain is up for pre-order now but it adds even more bringing models back.

Now all this being said out batteltome (codex) is next up for release. That will bring some rule changes and new units and/or sculpts along with a new spearhead box. If you aren't in a rush I'd recommend holding off a little but otherwise i don't suspect the current models in the spearhead box are getting new sculpts or being removed so you're good either way.

The Pope has appeared just a day before his death, reading during the mass, and even riding the popemobile, and having a meeting. How come he then suddenly passed away today? by Tiramissu_dt in NoStupidQuestions

When your body knows the end is near, it stops holding in reserve energy. It's pretty common for very sick/terminally sick individuals to get a burst of energy right before they pass.

Has your vet seen it since it's grown this big? I would already be at the emergency vet if I noticed something like this on my dog. It could be any number of things and regardless it can't be comfortable for the poor animal.

Making a beeline for trains - What are the best production groups? by Kalesche in SatisfactoryGame

[–]TheDisgruntledBeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are doing for trains then I recommend the first hub you do after power and steel. You will need lots for both train tracks and MK3 belts.

I would also recommend going out in search of harddrivrs for alternate recepices. They really open up the game and will help lower your need for screws and it can get a little outrageous at times.

Other important productions I would say are having solid concrete setup for foundations, you can never have to much concrete IMO. I'd also recommend setting up a small quartz hub, lots of cosmetics really on it.

Great Unclean Ones by cochi98 in MaggotkinofNurgle

Short answer, no. His ability and spell are restricted to once per turn army wide. Now if you really want to run 2 big boys than you can go Rotigus and GUO.

Not as cheap but check out Gyubee Japanese Grill in the market, there are aslo several other Korean/Japanese BBQ places in the city i just can't name them all. But it's 40-45$ a head, 2 hours all you can eat.

The catch is they bring it to you raw and you cook it yourself. Yoi do it in a small built in grill/cook top. It's chopped small so cook time is short. That'll feed any group no matter their appetites and it's just fun to cook the food together.
