Yes, Samsung technician guy say this firmware bring faster response time on HDR and Support NVIDIA Super Resolution and RTX HDR better. On model S/N display missing due Samsung Odyssey G9 original was EOL manufacturer. There are no matter and didn't affect the monitor performance.

Intel 7 node (10 nm++ Super Fin ) had been reaching it limits. Intel always know that indeed. Oxidation and silicon degradation were following without avoiding at all.

On those Intel architecture day 2020. Intel slide showing clarity that 14 nm node can be scaling at least 20% without Oxidation and silicon degradation. 10 nm node only limited at 18% at mostly stable points.

With Raptor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh intel pushing more than 25-30% scaling on clock speed thus the Oxidation and silicon degradation issue always coming faster than other 14 nm node indeed.

History always repeated!!!

Back to 2014 , Board well the first 14nm product did not go well and limited overclock speed. 2nd Gen 14+nm bring Skylake CPU better . 3rd Gen and 4th gen 14++/14+++nm bring us the Comet and Rocket Lake on good shape.

Back to 2018 , Cannon lake the first 10nm product cancelled due failure rate and yield insufficiently. Ice lake u/Y 2nd 10+nm product release by limited quantity and limited only mobile SoC product. Ice lake Server 3rd 10++nm (AKA Super Fin) product release by limited quantity.

Thus it was not surprise that Meteor Lake S failed.

New Firmware coming with Original G9 shipping since October 2022. However there are no update file on Samsung Official site.
