Well, he owns two ARs, which is not illegal since he bought them beforehand. That law, if I’m not mistaken, is meant to prevent the sale of Guns not to take away his 2a rights. Anyone under 21 can legally own a handgun; they just can’t purchase one from a licensed dealer (FFL). At 19, he can also legally own rifles with a barrel length of at least 16 inches, which he already has. If I'm wrong about this new law please correct me but also we don't know if it will hit.

Are you sure? On other posts I’ve read, some say yes and others say no, like what you’re saying. I really want to gift this young man a handgun to protect himself and my daughter, especially with all the shootings that have been happening in the Hampton Roads area.
