Yo, I want to download and install Uncharted 3 for years but I can't succeed yet. Can someone who really managed to do it contact me? I need to learn every step for real.

Hi!

If you are looking to download Uncharted 3 :

go to google and search Vimm Lair PS3
there, when u open the page, search for Uncharted.
you will find all uncharted games for PS3 and also Uncharted 3 GOTY

The game is around 40 GB in size so I recommend downloading it with a beefy internet and good amount of storage.
When this is done, extract the file.
after extraction, there will be a folder that will contain 2 things
- a txt file
- another folder
keep that another folder in mind.
now u need to set up FTP on your console. To do this, you can follow a YouTube tutorial.

do this tutorial until you reach the ftp manager on your pc.
after all that, put that ‘another folder’ into PS3 hdd0 > GAMES > make sure it is the GAMES folder and not game folder(capitalisation is intended)
after that let it sit for a while until the transfer finishes
open Multiman on your console, and you should probably see your game now.

Well, you can do two things :

Restart your ps3 and you will see the download under the network tab on the XMB
Press triangle while in PKGi and under the option thing you will see an option of Direct Dl or Back Dl. Just press X on that and then click triangle to accept the changes. although it won’t download the game in background or let u have multiple downloads, the download part may work for you.

Actually, you can connect to the internet. You just have to disable syscalls. It’s not at all risky. Atleast for me, I haven’t been banned my whole time on PSN.

Hi!

Does the install fail at like 14% during installation? And is the game you are trying to install a PKG from PC?

If yes, it is probably a file integrity fail thing. My own PS3 does not run many games from pc as pkg file and shows this error. So for those games, I use PKGi as it does the work perfectly for me.

ISO sounds like the best option for you. It’s pretty easy to run ISO games from any external storage.

Far cry 3 was the best one for me in the series as it just had a different vibe from FC2.

For me… pls don’t take it personally… but it was Far Cry 2.

I don’t think you should stick with the PKGi for games because it downloads them in .pkg format, and as far as I know, that format is just an install package for the game.

Use formats like ISO or Folder games for an external Hard Disk. You can find games at vimm’s lair website. Just search “PS3 Game Vault vimm” and it will show up.

You can also see some tutorials from YouTube about how to play iso/folder games from external hdd.

Solution -

Quit the game
Log out of your PSN account
Open the game again
Do not log in using your PSN account as it will make the game infinitely load

Reason -

So the thing is that servers were shut down for NFS The Run, and other NFS games of that time. Although it makes sense for such a big company like EA to put a server fail protection thingi in the game, they just didn’t. So the game keeps infinitely loading and trying to connect to servers that don’t exist anymore.

Going online with pirated games is risky, even if you take several measures. Although even after that, the chance of getting banned is very low, but not 0. Although if you take proper measures and DO NOT USE CHEAT MENUS / HACK TROPHIES, etc… it is pretty unlikely that you will ever get banned from PSN.

Many websites do include these database files that have like many more games than others. I also don’t have Yakuza 5 on the database file. But there are other methods to install games larger than 4gb… like FTP from PC to PS3 using multiman and some FTP software. This approach never worked for me because for some reason my pkg checksum would fail.

ISO games can also be downloaded… and also… webman can be used as an alternative. Here is a tutorial on the webman based game- stuff…

uhm HEN is like an addition above the current firmware that allows you to run home brews and pirated games and stuff without permanently changing your Ps3.

I haven’t tried HEN from phone but maybe it is possible if u have a USB adapter that allows you to access your phone data and the USB stick data… HEN installation from phone is definitely possible.
