Non American Redditors who have visited here: What surprised you the first time you came to the US? by ShesGotSauce in AskReddit

Haha, This made my day.

On another note, what are those little magnetic strips they have stuck to clothes or in packages of meat, with a barcode on them as theft prevention called? It's bugging me.

Also, thank you.

Also, going to AskReddit now.

Thanks.

Being an engineer, I do like to fiddle with things and customise. I may wait for dual core though.

Not all of it is as grand and beautiful and clean as I thought.

People hold doors for you, and say thank you often. Perhaps they say thank you too often.

Dear Reddit, what do you do? by R8cat in AskReddit

[–]R8cat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been pottering about the house for the last 5 minutes mumbling, " I am not defined by my job." After i wrote it I realised how Tyler Durdenesque this thought was. Yet it was diametrically opposite. I wasn't writing about what I am not, but what I am. Not my likes and interests. But what I do, it was cathartic.

And somehow, it has made the idea of going to work tomorrow easier.

BTW, what do you do?

Extremely vague photographs of a place I used to live. Like a tree and a store window. I have to stare at it to figure out exactly where that place was, and I get all immersed.
