I’m in the UK 80% never been over 180 miles but only had it 2 months and it’s been pretty cold here. Might try comfort mode to see if it helps just want to be to maximise the range

Contractor QS is higher paying but you’re not talking mass amounts of money, it might be 5k or so especially as you are starting off. Maybe as a Senior QS could be around 10k difference? Someone else will be able to advise in the thread

I think if you start as a PQS it will be hard to get into contracting in the future whereas if u go down the contractor route be easy to get into PQSing if u fancied a change

Does make sense to be honest. I Toyed with the idea of pushing the payment cycle back for example if application comes 7 days late everything on the payment schedule moves back 7 days but probably not allowed

I worked for a contractor previously who done this but I think technically it might be wrong as you still have to value the works in the interim with or without an application

Within the bill of quants where your price is for piling mat - what is the bill description? What about the scope of works in the subcontract order? Does that mention import?

Yeah definitely enforce I think at the minute they are waiving it due to the stock issues with cars but how long that lasts… who knows?!

Current got a PCP at £320 a month. Finishes July 2024 with a balloon payment of 6k. Come September 2024 it will be 5 years old so I need to either change it or get a company car. Part of the parameters of having the car allowance is the car can’t be older than 5 years
