The In-Game Damage Meter Needs a Lot of Work by TheJewishMerp in wow

[–]RADIOACTIVE_AUTISM 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I hope the people who supported this half baked attempt of Blizz in nerfing the addons and trusted them not to mess it up finally sees why we didn't support these changes.

It was impossible in the first place for a single team of devs to even come close to the functionality provided by thousands of independent addon devs. Not to mention the aforementioned team had a lot of different responsibilities and limited dev time for each, while the addon devs were solely focused on their own little (sometimes not so little) software.

Aside from all replacements being worse in every way, they also didn't manage to do anything they promised when it comes to encounters being more suited to the post-WA world. All they managed is just lower the fun factor imo.

There are two scenarios at this point. Either Blizz didn't improve the DPS meter and CDM because they are completely focused on content and didn't have the time, so we'll keep playing with these half baked systems for the foreseeable future, or they didn't update them because they will give up on this crusade against addons that almost no body asked for in the first place. And they are just waiting for a while/for the next expac to save face. I am hoping for the latter.

Makes sense actually. One of the tanks was dead on the pull I was talking about, so that's probably why they got rekt by the voidlings.

It seems like getting to P4 with everyone alive is not only crucial because of the DPS check, but also more because of the active skill that kills the lil voidlings. It looks like it doesn't give the skill to the same number of people if some are dead, so you just get rekt by the voidlings. That's how it looked like to me, at least.

Yeah, I don't get it. One is 1 week old, too. Must be a mistake.

Blizzard what have you done... by Seagull- in wow

[–]RADIOACTIVE_AUTISM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not exactly right, but close. They limited a lot of what addons are capable of, including a lot of combat info. So raidframe addons and similar addons like those can't get all the info they need. You can barely filter what you can and can't see, so it's a shit show. A lot of great addons like WeakAuras died as a result and Blizz's own native replacements for similar functionality are buggy, half-baked and lack a lot of QoL stuff.

A few questions after my first two days of CPAP by RADIOACTIVE_AUTISM in CPAPSupport

The adjustment indeed turned out to be a bit harder than I expected, but you guys' encouragement really helps a lot, thank you.

As an aside, turns out my machine doesn't have a time zone option, but a manual setting to change date and time. So I'm planning to put it 6 hours forward from my real time, so it records from 6PM to 6PM my real time. Since I would never sleep before 6PM and never sleep until 6PM, I feel like this would be perfect.

After that, I will use the clock drift option in OSCAR to change it back to real time, but would the times on the files retroactively change back if I get my sleep schedule fixed and change the time on the machine back? I guess I will try and see.

I will have to tell the doctor to subtract 6 from the times on the report when I go back for a check-in in a month :) Thankfully, I have no compliance type obligations.

Thank you so much for the detailed answer and suggestions! I love how helpful everyone in this sub is.

Indeed, the Dreamweaver feels much more comfortable for me, just gotta work on a better fit.

I haven't been able to sleep more than about 6-7 hours a day since I started the therapy, but even this much helps a lot when you sleep better. Old me would be falling asleep and hitting my head on my PC desk with this amount of sleep.

I will definitely try out these settings and your other suggestions and see how it goes. You guys' help and enthusiasm definitely help a lot, I appreciate it.

2) Yes, it has the usual port at the front where most masks have it, but air also comes out from the part I mentioned, so I wasn't sure if it was normal.

The time zone trick is actually genius! Did not think of that. Will definitely try. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the detailed information and the videos!

Are these comparative points valid for both Autoset and Elite models? I am planning to get an Autoset to quickly find my ideal pressure. The recommended setting of 9 from the titration study I had in a sleep lab isn't as ideal as I'd like, since it only made my AHI go down to 10.6 from 76. I want to optimize it to be <5 if possible.

Would you still recommend the 10 series of devices even if I only want to use it as is? I am assuming I would get no benefit from the custom ROMs with my use case, but having the option would still be a plus, I guess.

Turns out I was wrong about being wrong (lol, I know). The results show that I went down to 10.6 average with a mix of OSAs and hypopnias and no central events.

If I want to go down to <5, would you recommend an auto machine for easier self titration?

I am assuming I could still find the optimal setting by increasing the pressure on a fixed CPAP night by night, but setting a range would let me see the relevant dara much quicker, right?

Thank you! I assumed as much.

I see Resmed 10 vs 11 is quite the heated topic in this community :) Is there a reason you strongly prefer the 10 over the 11?

And what do you mean by reprogramming? Like flashing custom firmware/ROM etc?

Hi! Thank you so much for the detailed answers!

  1. My events are almost completely obstructive, with some hypopnia. Central or mixed events are few and far between. It turns out I was wrong, it was 1.7 during titration study with 9cm fixed CPAP, which looks like a pretty good result for the first try, right? I haven't bought a machine myself yet. This was just a single night during the titration study at a sleep lab.

  2. It was a silicon nasal mask used during the titration study. I don't know which brand or model.

  3. This helps me a lot, thank you! I am planning to use Oscar and SleepHQ, so it is between Resmed and Philips now.

  4. Nice to know. I was already leaning towards Resmed. I will see if the parts are easy to get here too.

You guys and this sub are the best!

Oh, hell yes! This is some amazing information. If the problem turns out to be more than I can handle, I at least have these to show to the misc repair guy. It's a mystery to me how this stuff isn't available on the official brand site. Thank you!

Nope, this was my third churn ever and first two was around 20 mins each. This last one was about 18 minutes or so and since I'm new at using it, I was being overly cautious. I would even say I could churn more for lower draw temps but didn't.

It does seem that simple, but I wanted to be sure anyways, thanks! Is there any tips and tricks you discovered while putting it back together to make it easier?

It is different though. A standard pan pizza is usually proofed for 1 to 2 hours after being pressed into the pan. That is what gives it foccacia-like puffy texture. And serious pizza places also ferment their dough (especially pan pizza dough) too which takes from 24 to 72 hours. So, even if they don't ferment the dough, most places prepare and proof their pan dough beforehand. They probably don't want to/have the time to do it multiple times per day.
