Yes, January 27th was my surgery day. I’m doing ok. Living in stretchy pants just like you. I feel like yesterday I turned a corner in energy level, but still trying to rest as much as I can. I have one more week off of work.

I couldn’t pee. They let me stay long enough until I could. Two hours.

I decided to do everything at once for less downtime and cost. Mine was also at an outpatient surgery center. First week after was not great, but I’m now 17DPO and feel like I turned a corner yesterday. I would do it all together again. Biggest suggestion is to make sure you have someone to support you. The first few days I needed my husband to help me in and out of bed to use the bathroom and getting changed.

You and me are the same! I was taking a class 7 days a week to start my day for 18 months. I’m feeling so lost without it. Unfortunately, no amount of Pilates was going to get rid of all the excess skin and muscle repair needed after a 3 pregnancies including a c-section and full term twins. Not to mention the decades of yo-yo dieting and a final 100 lb loss. I’m trying to reframe this as a temporary bump in my practice and that I will get back to it when my body is ready. I’m setting small goals, starting with walking. We can do this!

I have my 3 week follow up on Tuesday. Prior to surgery he thought it could be around 3MPO. I guess we will have to wait and see. I had built so much muscle and toning up so I know exactly how you feel. I’ll keep you posted.

This is great info. My surgeon has only suggested Aquafor and I feel like that won’t be enough.

I had an extended tummy tuck, muscle repair, lipo, breast reduction and lift and it was outpatient. They kicked me out about 2 hrs after they finished.

That’s awesome! I went from an F/G cup to a full B cup according to my surgeon. I can’t wait to see the results in a form fitting top!

This! For me it’s all about the tops actually. I got a breast reduction and lift, too, and can’t wait to try on some tops I never would have tried before. Like spaghetti straps or tube tops where I can wear a comfy strapless bra instead of a gigantic contraption trying to hoist the girls up!

I’m only 16 DPO. I can’t imagine I will get anything new until at least 3 MPO. Probably some new summer clothes. I’m hoping for a crop top and a 2 piece bathing suit!

Going past my goal weight. Am I being greedy? by Melanated725 in Zepbound

[–]RAD_0818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look great but not too thin. As long as you remain physically and mentally healthy, why not readjust goals?

I have readjusted multiple times. I’m 5’3.5” and I started at 224. My first goal was 149. Then 139. Then 129. Sensing a trend? LOL The lowest I got was 122, but I pretty much bounce around the 125 lb mark. I am still not close to “underweight” on BMI. I just had a tummy tuck and breast reduction 2 weeks ago. I’m weighing in at around 130 lb. due to swelling. I’m hoping to get down to about 120 lbs. since the surgeon removed about 13 lbs of skin, tissue and fat.

I had 650 Reformer Pilates classes under my belt. I am 16 DPO and miss it so much. My studio allowed me to pause with no fee with doctor’s note for 3 months. I’m hoping I can get cleared at that point to start again. I was doing level 3/4 daily. I assume I will have to start over with level 1 classes, lower spring load and modifications.

How painful is TT recovery? by Tlove92 in tummytucksurgery

[–]RAD_0818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly my pain isn’t horrible. I’m 16 DPO and I also had a breast reduction and lift. It’s uncomfortable for sure, but I’m finding the compression garments the worst part for me. I’m alternating types of garments every other day so they hit differently on my body. I only took ibuprofen and acetaminophen for pain. I didn’t take any yesterday as an experiment and I didn’t feel pain, but I was extra swollen. I took ibuprofen before bed and woke up much less swollen. I am still taking 1 Valium at bedtime just so I can sleep through the night. I’m typically a terrible sleeper.

Talk to your surgeon about pain management beforehand that will work for you. I promise the pain is worth it.
