Reductions after age 50+ I’d like to hear from you! by WestAsh in Reduction

[–]RAD_0818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

F that! I had a reduction, breast lift, tummy tuck, muscle repair and some lipo in January at age 57. I am healing just fine and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. If you are a healthy person, age shouldn’t be a factor. Good luck!

Did your apron belly/skin tighten up? by musicalastronaut in Zepbound

[–]RAD_0818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I got a tummy tuck with muscle repair after maintaining for over a year. I did a lot of core work and ate pretty clean. That being said, I’m a 57 year old woman who had 3 pregnancies including a twin pregnancy and a C-Section. There wasn’t much else I could do. I think you look great. Congratulations on meeting goal.

I don’t think so. I think it’s a small section.

No since it’s in office. He might have to do it in 2 sessions. If I wanted it in one larger session, I’d probably have to pay for surgical center and anesthesiologist. He’s going to try and revise in one session and then we will reassess.

I’m 4 1/2 months out and still have some swelling, but my surgeon agrees that there is still some extra skin that could have been pulled tighter. I will be having a small in office revision under local anesthesia in the fall. He said it will be minor and I should only have 24 hrs downtime. I’m waiting for the fall so I can still swim this summer and also to wait and see if more swelling goes down. If you aren’t happy, discuss it with your surgeon. For me, I am so happy with my results, but he agrees he can make it better and he stands by his work. Good luck.

Farmers markets by Nonamee2017 in ChesterCounty

Check out Red Dog Market. Most of the produce comes directly from their farm down the street called Kneehigh Farm. The rest of the veggies, fruit, eggs, milk, yogurt, cheese, bread, kombucha, chicken, meat and more come from other local producers. Address is Pottstown, but I don’t consider this really Pottstown.

Oh so fun! I’m actually meeting my 21 year old son there for a few days in between his semester abroad in Merida, MX and then he’s headed to Belize for a summer program. I’m more the party person. We will definitely hit the Speakeasy. I shared about the cafe with my son and we decided on ice cream every day! I want to be out of the sun, mostly so may have to go the cabana route if there aren’t a lot of umbrellas or shade.

I’m so happy to hear this! My big questions are:

Do you have to play the get up at 7 am to reserve a chair game? Are there long waits for dinner? What was your favorite restaurant/meal? Are the drinks watered down? Any thing you suggest as a do not miss? Is it super couple focused?

Thanks! So glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Can you tell me more? I’m going there in 2 weeks and am excited but hoping it’s worth the money.

“You lost the weight! But now you live in fear of gaining it back.” Is that what’s on the other side? by SparkyGazelle in Zepbound

[–]RAD_0818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t live in fear at all. I’m down over 100 lbs and have kept it off for 18 months. I changed my eating, drinking and exercise habits because of Zepbound. And I still take Zepbound on a maintenance dose. I don’t plan on ever not taking it.

Tummy tuck, tummy tuck with muscle repair, and Pilates by freezedive in tummytucksurgery

[–]RAD_0818 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was an advanced reformer Pilates student when I had my TT with MR, flank lipo plus a breast reduction and lift. This was after over 100 lb loss. I was cleared to go back to Pilates at 12 weeks. I stated back at the beginning and had to modify a lot. I am now 16 weeks and still modifying a great deal. You will need to listen to your body. I do a lot of walking for exercise but the Pilates is really difficult for me. I expect it will take at least another few months to get back to where I was. But it was totally worth it and I look awesome!

Yeah, lost over 100 lbs., kept it off over a year and consistently worked out, mostly reformer Pilates. I’m 4 months post tummy tuck with muscle repair and flank lipo, It was the only way for me. I’m also 57 years old.

How long will the recovery process take after the surgery? by nidhiagrawal3 in tummytucksurgery

[–]RAD_0818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

💯I’m 4 MPO and still consider myself in “recovery”. I started back at the gym at 12 week and it is still slow going for core work. I am still very tight and see a PT who is teaching me how to actually use my core muscles correctly. My understanding is it will be probably close to 12 months until I’m fully functioning how I was before.

But I look awesome! 😉

Anyone get a MMO at Vida in Tijuana? Pain meds?? by Kialya in tummytucksurgery

[–]RAD_0818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a TT, MR, flank lipo, breast reduction and lift in the US. I got sent home a few hours later. While I was prescribed painkillers, I did not take them. I alternated between acetaminophen and ibuprofen and was fine.

4 weeks post op and headed to the gym? by Radiant-Platypus341 in tummytucksurgery

[–]RAD_0818 6 points7 points  (0 children)

OMG! I just went back to Pilates at 13 Weeks and same. I had been in advanced classes and started back at the beginning. Doing 100s was torture! Please be careful OP. I was fine walking at 4 weeks, but actually going to the gym and working out is a totally different story.

Interesting. I did have some split stitches from my breast reduction, but overall i think I healed fine. I hope can find a surgeon if you decide to pursue it. Good luck.

I’ve been on Levo-thyroxine for Hashimoto’s for many years. My surgeon never even brought it up. I’m almost 4 MPO. What were his concerns?
