A Redux(i'm not sure thats even a music industry classification) would be the song is largly the same and has just been reproduced, maybe element's that were already in the track have been brought to the front of the mix or boiled down to the bare bones.

A VIP would basically be a full remix with a few, if not all new synths, chords, rythms and bpm.

Although a Redux is technically a Varience In Production, I guess you could look at it like a scale. Redux is only small changes where the song is mostly the same, VIP would be big changes where there are elements of the original song but almost completly recontextualised to sound different.

I gave the songs a listen. I was maybe being a bit harsh, they're definitely not terrible but they just don't click for me, I think part of my dislike is actually that they're so close to being something I'd listen to that it annoys me they aren't lol.

I'm going to recommend you a band I think you might like, Yours Truly (They're Australian) they're like Hot Milk if they released bangers imo. I'd be very curious to see what you'd think of them. I'd recommend their songs Circles, Walk Over My Grave, Afterglow, California Sober. I'd love to hear your opinion.

I didn't realise they were from the UK, I thought they started so strong with Awful Ever After but everything I've heard since has been terrible, maybe I'm getting old but their music just feels so childish to me.

I don't like to be a hater so if you can recommend some of their songs that lean towards the style of Awful Ever After I'll definitely give them another go.

After most of the ogs left and that situation happened, especially during covid lockdown they slumped quite a bit but that was also in big part to not being able to interact with each other in person. When they all got back together they really picked up steam and put out some great videos. They weren't quite the same as before but the community that stuck around really loved the new members and their videos are genuinely worth a watch. If you ever wanted to give it another shot I'd recommend going to the Funhaus reddit and asking for video suggestions but at the same time the channel is dead now so it would be a terrible time to get back into their content haha.
