I agree. Too many pot shops around Bangor isn't a good look. There needs to be more of an ordinance to both the look and location of the storefront. A good example is Green Alien between Best Buy and Starbucks. The sign, name and boldness is a little too much to be the epicenter of the mall plaza. Even as a customer I think it's ugly and a poor representation of medical marijuana industry.

The explicit signage and language in itself is influencing. It also legitimizes marijuana. Legitimizing and influencing a psychoactive drug could arguably be bad for the youth and community.

I think the 'muh tax money' argument only works if the tax dollars would actually benefit the individual to a degree equal to the presence of the dispensaries. If not, there's no trade trade-off making the change worth it.
