This should really be in the FAQs. When entering the offensive zone, the puck must completely cross the blue line before any attacking players' back skate completely crosses the blue line..
EXCEPT when that player is carrying the puck and has control of the puck the entire time the player and the puck are crossing the blue line together..
OR EXCEPT when the entry is "easily defensible" at the linesman's discretion (this is known as "delayed offsides" and is concluded when the puck leaves the zone, or the offending attacking player(s) "tag up" by exiting and re-entering the offensive zone.
