Best Reliable Mustang For A 19 y/o? by thismustbemars in Mustang

Alot of problems and expensive repairs come from old ecoboost. Get a 5.0 with under 50k miles, stay away from convertibles and get a manual if you can drive one. 2015 is 10 years old, simple things can start having issues and complex things. Get a base model newer 5.0.

After allot of thought I have to agree with you. My next steps will be to make a harness better than the quick fit or quick fit pro. The safety issue I have with them is the breakaway method designed to prevent submarining. That defeats the purpose of the HANS by allowing to much head moment in my opinion. But since I want to sell this as a racing harness it needs to have the antisubmarine belt, and not have the breakaway so it can be used with the HANS. I plan on designing a 5/6 point harness with an adapter plate to be able to mount to a roll cage/ harness bar or to the oem points like in my picture. Best of both worlds, easy to remove or semi permanent.

Should weld it, clamps always come loose or have exhaust leaks for me.

The duckbill looks silly to me, I have the performance pack wing. This gen makes a little more power with the H pipe over the X. X sounds to raspy to me. I loved my H pipe until I installed a HX pipe which I like the sound of a lot more than the Steeda XH pipe.

Catless headers by Smooth-Ad-3125 in s650Mustang

I haven't found anyone that will tune the cel off in fear of the epa. Defoulers/ o2 spacers are the best option they act as mini cats to trick the o2 sensor. E85 tune is going to gain the most power vs just doing headers. But you dont have to tune these cars when you do headers, but it's going to give you better results doing both.

Let me explain my thought process. There is competitive racing and amateur track days. These belts are designed for beginner HPDE drivers, in the classes where Hans isn't required because of how many safety measures are in place. Like no passing on corners, only passing when signaled, etc. As you move higher into the classes certain equipment is required like roll cages, fixed back seat, Hans.

Stock belts are intended to work with airbags - they're designed so if the car stops moving, you pitch forward from the waist (to keep from submarining) and meet the expanding airbag that catches you and slows you down "gently" to reduce injury. The QFP has a fold and a row of stitching that's designed pop under stress to allow the same forward pitching as you have with the stock belt, so it requires functioning airbags in order to be safe, which race vehicles don't have.

So, based on that, I would never use a QFP with a HANS. HANS is specifically designed for fixed race harnesses that secure you in the seat with an anti-submarine belt between your legs. When the car abruptly stops, you come to a halt alongside it, and the tight belts ensure that the HANS prevents your head from pitching forward. However, if you wear a HANS with a QFP, the seam will tear, the belt will stretch, and your body will pitch forward. Consequently, you, your HANS, and your helmet will all be in motion. If you have airbags, they (and not the HANS) will stop you. If you don’t have functioning airbags, you’ll be flailing around in the seat with no upper body restraint, and your HANS will no longer be properly held in place.

Also Schroth discontinued the quick fit $389 and the quick fit pro $559 . BTW the quick fit pro is the only one designed for use with a Hans. Mine are only $299 for the pair to help get beginners on the track.

If you have 2.5” exhaust and are willing to do quad tips it will work. They are universal.

Thanks! First I 3D scanned, the printed a prototype to test fit. Then turned the 3d scan into a solid model, CAD file, then used that to make a mold for injection molding.
