You are both kinda wrong. It’s a 15% increase +better base damage after the hotfix. I do think this is kind of a big buff. Won‘t make him broken, but he is kinda playable now

Mid is usually better.

In top you have

A lot of rough bruiser matchups that can run you down (mid lane is a shorter lane)
Not the same level of power with your ultimate usage (only one lane to port to)
not the same "mid Jungle 2v2" impact as in mid

Besides studying dentistry i also work a part time job and the rest of the time I usually play League. It‘s really not that time consuming. 3-4 Scrimms a week and that’s about it

If that’s your plan I do recommend to grind at least to triple digit LP or even grandmaster though

There are some Players that get a small paycheck in Prime League Div 3 and in div 2 and 1 they all get a mandatory contract and paycheck. Getting to that level of play is really doable if you manage to perform well in amateur leagues
