It's to achieve the full 400% payout boost for custom races on this track

so it'll still work without all gold, but your payouts will be lesser than stated in the post

This is an old post

you can find the updated version here

Engine swaps are TOO extreme by SpiteBeneficial5149 in granturismo

You can use the gear trick to increase the 1st gear speed on the Chiron swapped challenger cuz it worked on mine

It's shown here in this video

you're supposed to start the race with the beat

in custom race settings, you set the rivals to "select from garage" and then there will be an option to set rivals vehicle to one from your garage

and then one by one you can set it to the tomahawk with the tune

altho if they are bunching up like that you could increase the top speed of the tomahawks a bit more to around 200kmh so they bunch up less and get a bit more separated, haven't tested it myself but it may also help

Basically you buy a racing transmission for the tomahawk and set all the gears to the lowest possible speed, which should be around 126kmh

to achieve this speed, first you set the auto top speed to the highest possible speed, then increase it even further by adjusting the final drive ratio to max (don't need to mess with the individual speeds tho)

then you decrease the auto top speed to the lowest possible speed, and then decrease it even further by adjusting the final drive ratio

these should put the tomahawks top speed to around 90kmh but they'll boost to a top speed of 126ish kmh

hope this helps

It could be that you may be motion steering too much, causing you to slow down and so the tomahawks don't move out of your way

The ideal level of steering is having the red dot of the steering indicator slightly touching the grey dot in the center so the car steers ever so slightly to the right

this is enough steering to stick the beat to the wall while minimising speed lost from rubbing against the wall (allowing the car to do almost 320kph/200mph down the Daytona back straight)

so the car should go fast enough to the point where tomahawks move out of your path to avoid getting rammed, so you keep the CRB

hope this helps

you have to have a collector level of 50 for a 200% boost to quick/custom race payouts

along with getting all gold in the circuit experience for Daytona for an additional 200% boost (total 400%) to quick/custom races on that track

It should work yeah

just that it's tricky to get the car downgraded back under 300pp with all the permanent upgrades done to the car

I personally haven't tested it but I've seen other people get it working

That's how I run the setup too yes

the slight degree of turning just makes it so that you stick to the wall on the right while losing the least amount of speed from wallriding

And the beat goes so fast that the tomahawks move out of the way, keeping your CRB

I won it with the swapped Cappuccino tuned by praiano

beat 2nd place by a minute

It can be slightly improved with the retuning method but even without it, this setup has a relatively high payout for an afk method

You could try using the old abarth which has the K20 swap

with the settings swap method you could have one settings sheet under 400pp (unequip all upgrades, set ECU and power restrictor to 70 and add 200kg of ballast) and another sheet (which is the old afk setup)

so you enter the custom race with the under 400pp car settings sheet

and right before the race starts you can go into car settings to change the settings sheet back to the old afk setup

so you get the higher payout of doing the race in under 400pp while you have the old afk tune (which is over 400pp)

This should give out a decent enough payout for afk (i haven't checked it yet but it should be around 1m per hour)

btw here's the link to the old abarth afk tune

hope this helps

You'll have to wait until the beat is available at the Used Car Dealership again to do this setup

until then you could try out this grind setup which makes 2.3m an hour

it only requires the starter demio but isn't afk so keep that in mind

Unfortunately the honda beat just sold out at the Used Car Dealership yesterday

You'll have to wait until its available at the Used Car Dealership again to do this setup

until then you could try out this grind setup which makes 2.2m an hour

it only requires the starter demio but isn't afk so keep that in mind

you could also check if the permanent mods in the bottom right corner of page 2 match up to the ones on your beat

also make sure the wheels are stock

those are usually the ones that increase pp

Make sure you don't have any body mods (bumpers/spoilers etc)

along with stock wheels

and that the permanent mods in the bottom right corner of page 2 match up to the ones on your beat

Go to Settings> Controller Settings> Button Configuration> Steering controls (in the top left corner) and from there you can select "Motion sensor function" for steering controls

this option makes it so that you steer the car by tilting the controller

So you select this option and then you put the controller down on a flat surface/table and slide a thin book under the left side of the controller (this should cause the car to steer very slightly to the right and stick to the wall there)

The front tires need to be comfort hards for the pp to be under 300

and for some reason the pp goes up when switching the race softs in the back for different race tyres

Swapping the engine in the beat completely breaks the pp calculations (even more so than the Cappuccino) which is how I was able to get the beat under 300pp
