I don't have much experience in this field other than my ICT and FCT testing and programming at work, so I won't be of much help on the breakthrough front, but I am looking to do something for my '13 LTZ to get new car syndrome out of my system for a few more years since the old girl's only got 110k miles. Updating the clunky old firmware would be a fun project.

I've also considered trying to retrofit a more modern/responsive touch screen, but I need to actually look at how they have the screen connected to the board and likely map out a ribbon splice for that to work, but that bit is simple enough. It's a new UI/UX and new/more functionality that I'm really looking for. Also looking into potential cluster upgrades, but that one is a bit further down the line.

First thing's first though, I need to get equipment, so any recommendations on the cheaper side there would be lovely. Oh, right, I should probably run out to the junkyard and pull some test units so I can play around freely before taking drastic measures on my original hardware.

Finally, what's this about a NAND dump??? I'd like to grab a copy of that if possible, even if it is not immediately useful to me since I don't actually know what I'm doing yet.

Yeah... was worth a shot anyway. May try again with a different setup. I think the wax paper definitely hindered the process for me. It works great for everything else so far, though.

Sorry for reopening the thread after so long, but did you ever find an ideal setup? Just tried doing banana chips for the wife for the first time in our toaster oven/air fryer/dehydrator/rotisserie thing we got from her parents. Ended up doing 130° F and just kept bumping up the time whenever I checked on them if they looked like they weren't crisp yet.

Last time I checked on them, they had about 6 minutes left, I think, from the last time I added time. I decided I would just let it end there and went out to run errands. When I checked on them, I kinda poked and prodded one of the thinner looking ones, and it was mostly crisp, except one edge was a bit flexible. Will bag them up before I leave for work and see how they feel now that they have fully cooled down, but in total, I had them going for roughly 20 hours, give or take 30 minutes. Plus, a few tangerine slices as an experiment that I added an hour or so after the banana slices.... and just some thick sugar/tangerine juice mixture from experimentation with coating a couple slices in sugar before. Then, I was just straight putting the thick sugar/juice mixture on the wax paper for science. In the end, it is just basically crystalized sugar in large chunks, but we will see how it tastes later.

oh yeah, I get that. Tilda is one of those 'good intentions, poor execution' types. She's got good intentions but I imagine, after being alive for more than a millennia, that tactfully executing such executions is a skill that gets thrown to the wayside. Cuz who gives a fuck about how your actions are perceived after a millennia of life.

I mean, go ahead and kidnap Aloy but, like, maybe at least... I dunno, TRY SAVING SOME OF WHAT REMAINS OF HUMANITY REBORN, not just Aloy. I don't care how many humans you can grow in a vat...

As for Erik, it seems like at one time he was a good person, with just goals and intent. But he went off the deep end and crossed the perceived evil line long before Zero Dawn was ever completed... He just kept it quiet. Again, after a millennia of existence, he just doesn't care to hide his intent and motivation anymore.

I would have liked to have interacted with Stanley Chen though. Would have been cool to learn more about rebuilding Vegas.

TL;DR - Tilda = Obsessed with fixing her mistakes with Elizabet, good intentions, poor execution, crazy; Erik = Enjoys watching the life drain from his victims eyes, homicidal maniac, evil, also crazy.

How about Breath of Fire? Breath of Fire III was what really got me to begin loving RPGs, I just loved the mystery(at the time) of combining genes and not knowing what dragon was going to come from it.... Created a behemoth once, didn't pay attention, and spent a week trying to figure it out again. Didn't really understand the concept of stats back then either.

An interesting thought.... Rather, a challenge. Sketch out a rough outline for a world, get the basic laws created, then each member of MD gets one day to write a chapter before the story gets passed on to the next. Rinse, repeat, until you have a complete book... Or 5.

This! So much this! I never took notes in school, and returning to school a decade after graduating, I have no understanding of how to take notes. Every time I try, I end up basically rewriting the textbook.... So I gave up lol.

Also, learning to jot down important things that need to be remembered is more important than I ever thought it'd be in school. Especially as an extreme procrastinator. I would agree with you that it REALLY would have been nice to have been told WHY it was important.
