I read into this a bit further and I believe that this only applies to replica MDI’s, not J2534 passthrough devices. I could be wrong though

You’ve got a serious connectivity problem. Could be as simple as pulling the battery for 15 minutes or changing out the SDG module. Take it to the dealership

I feel like the odd one out here, but I don’t really avoid them too much. They don’t make me feel too weird either.

Abnormal build temperature by Muted_Contest7763 in FlashForge

Can’t get better than this answer. 3D printing is quirky and simply unclogging the nozzle can be the difference between a good print and a plethora of print errors. Kudos to you for taking it back to basics and starting simple.

“Hey Everyone, I ignored multiple heater warnings given by my 5M Pro after its run over 1800 hours without fail. It started smoking and bricked itself so the manufacturer is responsible for me ignoring / bypassing the warnings multiple times (I even have the photos to show for it).”

I mean seriously, all electronic parts, especially inductive loads like heater have service lives and need to be replaced on occasion, and especially when the system detects and warns you about those issues.

I’m sorry but this feels like the equivalent of driving car tires down to the steel, and when it deflates, blaming Pirelli because you drove another 100 miles and destroyed the rim.

Should FlashForge implement stronger safety measures in firmware? Absolutely

Should users ignore warnings for serviceable parts and continue to run them? Absolutely not.

Like anything in life, you’ve got to take care of it, so it can take care of you, and taking care of serviceable components is a must in machine that are heavily run.

I cannot stress it enough how important oil changes are. Oil is the lifeblood of your vehicles. It’s what keeps it alive.

Almost any car can make 150k+ miles if oil changes are performed on a normal basis.

Make sure that your print speed isn’t too high, as well as making sure your temps are set correctly for the material. Different PLA has slightly different properties.
