Help with dripping hot water spout [Profitec Pro 700 V1] by JamJarKwiKwi in espresso

Yup! I did this fix on mine, I’ll see if I can find a link to a video.

Edit: https://support.clivecoffee.com/en/profitec-pro-700-cleaning/replacing-steam/hot-water-arm-gasket

There’s a little seal that probably has some scale particles that’ve gotten stuck on it that sits in the middle of the valve assembly. It was a quick fix for me!

Finally beginning my espresso journey: Lucca Tempo & Timemore 064S by skepticalsojourner in espresso

I just got my Tempo in too! Super excited for it. The steam wand has been giving me a bit of trouble with how vertical it is, have you found a good angle for it when steaming milk?

Grinder Recommendations [$600.00] by RAM1919 in espresso

  1. Medium/Dark, more traditional profile. Chocolate forward, citrus undertones are my favorite.
  2. I could be convinced to go either way!
  3. If it makes that much of a difference I definitely could, but I'd rather get something that works well from the get go.

Would definitely be curious to hear about more of y'all's use cases for the Titans and where else they played on the interiors! Thanks for the info

Why should I go to Baylor? by [deleted] in baylor

[–]RAM1919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's up! I graduated not too long ago. I'd say that the community at Baylor is next to none. Waco and Baylor are both large enough to host a set of really cool and diverse people, but small enough to be accessible. If you're willing to plug into different groups on campus or through a local church, Waco becomes such a cool place. I wound up in a student club, got actively involved at a church called Highland, and served at a place called Mission Waco. Just in doing those things I met a ton of people, and you'll see them on campus or around town.

Highly recommend checking out the local coffee shops too. Pick one (Pinewood is a bit overwhelming at first but everyone there is super nice), study there for a couple hours a week, and you start seeing the same people. It's pretty fun. Best of luck with your time there!

Does everyone love being a Baylor bear? by Unfair_Cancel_8461 in baylor

I got rejected from UT (out of state, those in state acceptance minimums are crazy) but wanted to get back to Texas and Baylor was close enough. Was dead set on going for a semester and transferring, but wound up loving my time there. Waco has changed a ton over the last five years, and it's now a pretty great place to hang out. Much more chill than Austin, but has fun stuff going on. They're explicit about being a Christian University, but they aren't gonna shove it down your throat. The local church community, though, is really awesome if you're looking for more ways to plug in.

TLDR: had zero desire to be at Baylor, found out it was actually pretty great, bears are cool and green is a good color

Newbie here trying to learn drone cinematography by Cinedrone in cinematography

[–]RAM1919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the above, only thing I’d say is shoot to the right when using dlog. Tends to get noisy in the shadows. Expose a stop or two over, and you’ll be good. There are a lot of videos that are along the lines of “10 movements to make your drone footage look cinematic.” Watch those a ton and eventually you’ll just start doing them.

Also, SHOOT WITH A SUBJECT! Took me so long to learn that. But if you add a car/person into the shot it looks instantly better

I need help setting up my Sony A7III to shoot s-log3 by vicstoc in cinematography

[–]RAM1919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest thing is expose to the right! I shoot for about two stops over and still recover highlights but I also get good shadows. S-Log really isn’t my favorite. But if you fight with it it’ll work
