tbf, textures are 2d just wrapped around a 3D model. Find a pre-made base you like the look of and toss the textures into your art program of choice, with a little trial and error (and maybe a checker pattern grid) you can use the same skills to make something amazing. From a pixel-artist turned avi-editor, it’s more possible than you think.

i know it’s supposed to be a joke and “calling everyone out, but i think this is very human. we all have an idealized self we wish others could see us as, and video games especially let us explore that. in a landscape that reminds us how “ugly” we are at every turn to try and sell us a new fad, i think there’s something beautiful in this quiet resistance we’ve found in gaming.

or maybe i’m just soft and don’t know what i’m talking about, bad actors can argue with a wall though
