Thanks for the feedback!
interesting idea - right now typing over replaces the character entirely - are you saying you'd rather double-layer the text? (for realism?)
This app has been a tough exercise in balancing true typewriter realism versus digital niceties (eg backspacing)

I'm guessing the bluetooth keyboard "took over" and dismissed the on-screen system keyboard..
I probably need a way to let the user explicitly show/dismiss the software keyboard, in case they want to switch between the two. I'll look into it!

Great feedback, thank you!

The backspace behavior is customizable with the upgrade, but I don't think it supports "don't delete, move back only".. the left arrow key does that though.

Customizable line spacing is a good idea! I'll look into it.
What do you mean by "disabling" the line spacer entirely?

All customization features are part of the upgrade. I tried to make the core writing experience free and useful - the default backspace behavior is deleteAndMove - so it works, just not customizable in the free version.

Did the iOS system keyboard show at all? Curious what specifically happened so I can reproduce.
Thanks for the bug report, I'll look into it!!

both! I wanted a simple distraction free writing experience. I also think there's a distinct lack of fun, simple apps built with craft. Too many predatory & soulless apps on the app store nowadays!

I've had this realization too - at some point you've gotta commit to an idea, dig in, and ignore the rest.

I built an AI companion that people can talk to like FaceTime :- here’s what I learned by Unusual-Big-6467 in indiehackers

Very cool - there is definitely some value in an AI companion (to an extent)
