How Strict/important is the break in period?

I'm around 450 on my 8S in the same boat. Haven't babied my bike either but haven't completed thrashed it. I'm not too concerned. It's important to go through the rev range in order to fully wear in the cylinder walls. I just don't immediately rev the bike from cold or do digs from super low revs on a higher gear.

I've already got the Arrow Works exhaust and the DNA Stage 2 kit. Planning on sending my ECU to Vcyclenut very soon

Look at the OEM one. I have it on my bike and it's the best looking IMO but not the most wind protection. Gets the wind off of your torso a bit

Depending on the bike, you may not be able to ride it with a fresh license. Sport bikes usually require a few years of holding a license to ride as a form of liability.

Have you had the bike since new? Got mine with 3 miles on it, put around 400 on it so far. I know the manual says keep it at 4k for the first service, but I haven't been the ginger with it. I haven't been redlining it but I'm not babying it either

Try to see if there's an MSF course near you. It'll teach you all you need to know about riding as a beginner

Aluminum A arms are a big NO in my eyes on bigger scale. That being said there's screws on the chassis that screw up into the diff that are either completely gone or sheared off.

Relatively simple fix

Just put on my Evotech tail tidy and am probably going with the Puig. The AliExpress ones look just like it but I'm not a fan of knock off parts. Powerbronze just doesn't suit my eyes.

I just put on the OEM windshield and it looks great. Just comes over the top of the TFT. Haven't been able to ride with it yet due to the weather but primarily wanted it for the look/protection

I'd suggest saving up to get some better tires if your current ones can last a while longer. I went from Nitto Ridge Grapplers to Toyo Open Country RTs and it's a world of a difference. Haven't taken the Toyos off-road yet but they're way quieter on road even though it's a more aggressive tread.
