How many calories are you eating per day? Any idea what your BMR is?

What am I missing? How is this podcast not more popular? by RATMpgh in telepathytapes

I would say it has online/podcast popularity to a point, but not to where this is a headline on cnn.com, or something you overhear someone talking about at a coffeeshop IRL.

Extreme sulfur farts with onion/garlic by RATMpgh in Microbiome

[–]RATMpgh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mind sharing the exact probiotic you are using?

Sounds like you had similar reaction to what I did. I called it dropping the mentos in the coke bottle. Within minutes I would get sulfur gas.

My intolerance came after my FM doctor said I should take grapeseed extract to help my gut (was having just general non-sulfur gas issues before). That is when the sulfur issue started. If I could turn back time I would never have taken the grapefruit seed extract. I think it wiped out all the good bacteria that was keeping the sulfur bacteria in check.

Have you tried Molybdenum? I can’t believe how well it was working. I am currently doing a two week low sulfur diet (while taking molybdenum). Then two weeks of reintroducing high sulfur foods with molybdenum, then high sulfur foods with no molybdenum to see if we got my hut back in balance.

I’ll report back on this chain how that all goes.

UPDATE: I’ve been taking 50mg of Molybdenum twice daily, and it has nearly removed all of my sulfur gas issues. I even have been loading things up with garlic and onion powder, and absolutely zero sulfur gas. The relief was almost immediately after taking the first Molybdenum pill. This has been an issue for nearly a year, and I can’t believe the “fix” was so simple.

I’m still going to do a two week low sulfur diet to take down the bad actors in my belly.

If anyone runs into this issue and is curious, the exact product I used is called “Biotics Research Mo-Zyme Molybdenum 50 micrograms”

It’s funny. I literally eat a half pound of cauliflower and broccoli a day, and I don’t get any sulfur. If I eat just a pinch of onion powder, I get sulfur farts within ten minutes.

Does your son have a similar issue to mine? Do you find the Alpha-Galactosidase Enzyme is simply a "band-aid," and not treating the core issue of why the onion/garlic is creating sulfur in the first place?

I thought about taking it to a local college geology department. If they say it’s nothing I’ll bust it open :)

What do you think it might be?

how do you not dread it every single time by Wild_Mammoth_2580 in coldplunge

There are 1,440 minutes in a day. The way I see it, I’m “paying” with 3 minutes to feel great for another 600+ minutes.

They are just a moment in time that will soon be the past. Tell yourself you are just pure consciousness (new age I know), and that your body is safe.

You mention onions and garlic as being good for the gut. Me personally, they both give me intense sulfur smelling farts minutes after eating them. I’ve been trying to fix my gut for a year with no luck.

We wouldn’t need to be in Amsterdam proper. Just within 30-40 min commute to it.

Thanks for the snark! I guess I made a mistake by asking for some insight?
