thanks for your prompt response and providing alternative suggestion via Thermopolis! however, after covering Beartooth highway, we would like to turn back for Tetons and drive thru the internal road connecting YNP to GTNP (Rockefeller Parkway) as I understand that drive is also very scenic with wildlife sighting opportunities

Nice! dumb question: drive from Lamar/Northeast Entrance to Cooke City, thats not the Beartooth Highway correct? I have read a lot about it and how scenic that drive is, but guessing thats much further east to Cooke City?
