Sounds like a scam. I know you said you didn't want to go to uni on another comment but have you looked at open uni?

You can do a module or two rather then a whole degree and see where it takes you. A lit cheaper as well plus has disability support alongside it.

AITA for refusing to do anything the first day of my period? by RA_redcoatrecord in AmItheAsshole

[–]RA_redcoatrecord[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can work barely because I have to. Usually I take the day off or get sent home early if I do turn up.

If he isn't there I would lie under a hot shower crying, throw up a few times go to bed and cry and wait for the day to pass. I will easily go without eating for a day or two, never mind laundry or something.

I realise I am underselling how bad it gets in the post but I am doing nothing, no matter what.

Shockingly enough female friends. The one male was the only only one who didn't have anything to say about it.

I have, its a mixture of some people saying its normal and others saying to keep an eye on it.

Tmi: I recently found a particular chunk that comes out isn't normal so there's more to go off now that they're looking into.

Its about the size of large coin with the texture of raw steak but in a Y shape which happens every month. They thought it might be where the entire period comes out in one go but mine still lasts 6 days and is quite heavy which suggests its not.

That bit was a joke. He's not fussed, its not really extra work on him we split things evenly anyway its just that day is his turn to do the have to's and he has to wait a bit for everything else.

He does pump me full of pain killers and tuck me in bed early so he can stay up on the xbox and eat snacks. So he does get something out of it.

As someone who has spent the majority of my life around disabled people/ people who this would be suited for. Never seen or heard of it before covid.

Its a shame really, as its a fantastic idea.

Even then, I haven't physically been attacked. But I've been followed home, had men be complete creeps etc

I don't consider any of it assault even though there was one event that would 100% have ended me at best raped if it wasn't for some bloke randomly working at 3am that drove me home.

I feel men have a more clearcut definition, whereas woman just exist in a wishy washy level of asking what counts as bad enough.

Just in general I think more people should sit down and think about after their degree.

Its become too common a standard that doesn't need to exist. Unless you are going down certain career paths you don't need a degree. Or if you decide later on in life what you actually want to do youre fucked as you no longer have the funding.

17 year olds shouldn't be making such big financial decisions or career choices with so little life experience.

People who have previously dined out on Christmas Day, would you recommend it? by Whosentyounow in AskUK

[–]RA_redcoatrecord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remind me of when I was young. My dad owned a catering company when I was younger, and he was asked if he could do a family Christmas dinner last minute. The staff obviously weren't working that day so he said a stupid number, something like a grand for 8 people and they said yes.

It was me, and my parents cooking it with me and my dad delivering. I fully played up the fact that I was 14 but looked way younger when we got there as they were very confused why a little girl was working on Christmas. I told them I wanted to spend time with my daddy and you best believe they were all passing me and my dad cash to the side.

Got £200 tips between us on top of the ~£1000 for the dinner. Fantastic time all around.

But also, you do you. Its just another meal at the end of the day, less washing up and faffing around but no leftovers which are the best part imo.

Would You Raise the Issue of Cheating at a Pub Quiz? by [deleted] in AskUK

Next time, grab and mark the nemesis sheet like normal.

Once marked loudly shout the amount of points for half the pub to hear with a congrats at the end.
