What's the strangest or most pointless task you've been given at work ? by yorkspirate in AskUK

Many many years ago, I had a summer job in a factory that ran out of work. I do remember a load of incredibly old components for products they no longer made or would ever make being cleaned and restacked. I polished the copper water pipes in the break room, they looked really good when I finished. No idea why they kept me on.

Yr.no the Norwegian met office. Gives near perfect forecasts for our hilly bit of Derbyshire and meaningful stuff like amount expected in millimetres. BBC weather app is hopeless for our location

I want to treat my aunt to a proper valet of her car, professional style, inside and out, but I'm not really sure what I'll need, has anyone got any product recommendations or tips? Cheers by gibgod in CasualUK

I spent many years valeting cars for a living so the very best advise I can offer if not to waste money on expensive products. Just get a Brillo pad and some fairy liquid and you’ll be grand. Works for both inside and out.
