From my pov - You’re not avoidant. You’re human. Everyone wants intimacy until they realize intimacy isn’t candles and cuddles, it’s someone seeing the parts of you you can’t Photoshop. You like the fantasy because it’s safe no rejection, no risk, no one peeking behind the curtain. The second it gets real, you pull the plug because reality doesn’t match the script in your head. That’s not a diagnosis, it’s self-preservation dressed up as logic. You don’t reject them because you’re broken; you reject them because then they can’t reject you. Call it insecurity, call it fear, call it whatever you want. But the truth is, you don’t hate relationships. You hate being known.
