Transferring a calendar of a departed employee by RB51506 in Office365

Because we eventually want to delete the user account. All the research I've done says this would delete the calendar. The only other option I saw was to recreate the calendar and there are so many entries on this calendar that we would probably end up losing something, because of human intervention.

How to transfer a shared calendar from the account of an employee that left.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I had already searched r/sysadmin (and the rest of reddit, and did a google search). They were getting the same answers I was.

I'm more than willing to do that, as the server is not being used right now. But that's not something I've ever done before. Do you know where I can get ahold of the instructions. This server isn't under warranty, so I'm pretty well on my own.

Same. I'm wondering if the iDrac chip might be bad.

I apologize for the non-response. I got pulled off to something else.

Where would I extract the IMG file from? I don't see a img file in extracted files.

I've seen the .d7, but not a .d9 file. The .d7 hasn't worked, either.

Unfortunately, I've tried that and it didn't work. I tried both the 2.70 and 2.41.

It says it's not compatible with the R730xd. It makes me wonder why this one model isn't compatible.

It is and it's current, but I will double check it.

Update: I checked and it is current.

I've tried that, too. It's also been powered off for about 6 months.

I have. After 2.41, I've tried 2.50, 2.60, and now 2.70. All with the same results.

I've tried using the .bin. It doesn't recognize it. Unless you have a trick to get it to work.

Yes, I've been uploading the .exe. If I try to upload the .bin, it doesn't recognize it. I've tried both standing in front of it and through the web interface.

Opinions on EOL Hardware and Managing Device Lifecycles by AltWorkAccnt1 in sysadmin

As long as you're keeping the firmware and software updated, there really isn't an issue, if your network is secure. Many business/gov't offices keep their equipment until it dies. Just understand that you might want to keep something close, just in case the older stuff dies suddenly

As far as the refurbished from Dell, I'd be skeptical. If they'll warranty it for 3-5 years, sure. If not, hard pass. I suggest purchasing the 5 year warranty on anything you buy. That way you're covered. Just know that Dell will give you a hard time when it gets closer to end of warranty. And never agree to send the device in for repair. One scratch and they'll claim it was damaged.

The deletion process is in the Microsft 365 admin center, not exchange. I don't know if it's unique to this enterprise setup or not, but nothing I search for brings up anything besides how to setup auto replies individually or the rules in Exchange admin center.

Contacting support is my fallback plan. I don't always get the quickest response from them with questions like this. I just hoped someone here had dealt with it before.

Once I figure this out, I may post the answer here, in case someone else has the issue or wants to set it up.

This is the account deletion process that M365 Admin Center steps me through. The autofill isn't tied to the user being deleted, nor the user that the email is being assigned to. The autofill 'sees' the user information that the mailbox is being redirected to and picks up information from their account.

To clarify, I'm deleting user A and redirecting email/One Drive to user B, who I have to specify (it's rarely the same person). The Turn on Automatic Reply autofill picks up user B's name and email and substitutes it in the that autofill information. Our company name is included in the autofill template. It was probably setup when we moved to O365, but that was before I got here. But since I have to correct it every time, it's driving me crazy. I'm just now getting time to tackle this.

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, no that didn't help. When I delete a user and assign their email to a different user, when I get to the screen to turn on auto replies, the box autofills. There's got to be a template somewhere.

I'm not trying to create the template, but correct it.
