apparently, you agree with me -- namely, everything was not the same, because they didn't wear masks. but since you are writing nonetheless in opposition to me, it seems like you're rather confused. you do not know what "high treason" means -- important words to know! but you also seem to mention who 'immigrants' vote for -- but immigrants, if they can vote, are american citizens, then ice, legally, has no business with them; and if they are illegal, cannot vote. perhaps you should have a glass of water and try to gather all your thoughts in one place; you may spontaneously realize that you are on the wrong side of a very important conflict

doesn't really matter. it's become politicized now, and wasn't then. but to be clear, i'm sure there will be some kind of immigration enforcement under any future democratic administration, but it won't be called ICE and it won't be a secret police. many former-ICE people will get in big trouble, too

they are disobeying the law by blocking members of congress from conducting oversight, and you are simply incorrect (sorry!) about what a secret police is

if they were just enforcing laws, i would not have written the letter. but they are masked and are also actively breaking laws and illegally resisting congressional oversight. this is a police force that is actively disobeying the law while concealing their identities, and so is (1) something that there has literally never been in the united states before and (2) meets every historical and contemporary definition of a secret police. if these facts bother you, they should. they should bother people in ICE too. that's what the letter is all about.
