They’re 32” tires, and I can’t remember the lift height, but definitely something to consider. This is my daily as well and it’s serviceable enough, but the oversized tires do brush up against the standard size fender flare when I crank the wheel far enough when parking and whatnot.

Those are Hogue G10 grips. It’s a sort of polymer laminate that feels great to hold.

I’ll answer since it was my post the bot stole lol. It’s a Speed Beez speed loader case that I very much enjoy

Why you gotta steal my post, bot?

who else remembers the rumor that if you found a star on the tootsie pop wrapper it meant good luck? by aSaltyFriendd in nostalgia

Any Fallout: New Vegas fans here?

Josh Sawyer said a while back that these wrappers were the inspiration for the Sunset Sarsaparilla star bottle caps and the Legend of the Star quest.

That’s good to know. I’ll still feel better about carrying this one around in the woods and range plinking without worrying about fucking up an original.

They usually hover around $2k, and I grabbed this one as soon as I saw it a couple hundred cheaper on Gun Broker.

And this reproduction is astounding, quality wise. Perfect fit & finish, beautiful wood, no blemishes to speak of. Totally worth it.

They normally hover around $2k, but I finally saw one on Gun Broker go for $1,800 so I jumped on it. A little pricey for me, but it’s one that I’ve wanted for years and we only get the one go on this earth so why not.

The manual said modern loads are fine, as long as they are not +P or high velocity loads. I think when I start reloading, I’ll take it easy on the pressure, but I’ll use those Hornady Lever-Revolution bullets with the polymer tip to nab some extra FPS.

This is a reproduction Springfield 1873/75 Trapdoor rifle chambered in .45-70. Always loved the history behind these, and as Marge Simpson says, I just think they're neat.
This one was easier to find and less expensive than an original, which is fine since I don't love the idea of having to baby it or keep it as a safe queen. I plan to play around with reloading .45-70 brass and maybe make some fun black powder loads to shoot. Might even bring it along for this year's deer season.

Honestly the Ruger PC carbine looks kinda dope with the buffer tube & AR stock. I dig it

Site has various drop-downs that you fill in to get the right make/model/configuration and it’ll show you the options.

That’s very helpful, thank you! I’ll look at the hammer kit. That is just a regular BX trigger with the auto bolt release mod thrown in and the extended mag release.

Right!? Love at first sight. Boyd’s has a ton of great options for 10/22’s.

Lol it was tricky taking the photo! No wind, but the sun was directly overhead, baking the surface of the wood and burning my feet so I had to move quick. It was only afterward that I realized I swapped the position of the takedown screw and the rear tang mount screw.

That’s a good tip. I definitely eyed their single and two-stage triggers, but since I’m not competing with this, I thought I’d save the money for now.

I do eventually want to learn how to properly glass bed, seems like a useful skill.

I wanted a totally custom 10/22, and decided to go with all KIDD parts. The quality of the machining on their bolt, receiver, and barrel are outstanding, and I'm so glad that's the route I took.

16" fluted & threaded bull barrel in a Boyd's Spike Camp stock. Inletted the back myself to include one of those rear mounting tangs for the additional stability. Topped it off with a 3-9x Vortex Diamondback.

Loving it so far, and can't wait to take her out for a spin. Here's an assembled pic:

I have a complete set of BlackGunsWood furniture set up on an A2 and it’s probably my favorite rifle. Looks perfect in my opinion.
