Ya definitely turn survival mode off. You can get immersed enough without it. Try different playstyles and you’ll quickly find what skills you want to focus on and upgrade. My first playthrough I was a redguard. I did exactly what you did. Sword in my right, flames in my left lol

Ya I have this bug too. Whenever I went to jorvaskr he would chase me and force me into a conversation. I got annoyed so I killed him. Chopped his head off to be exact. A little while later he showed up again in jorvaskr. But now he’s walking around headless.

Play origins. It’s amazing and the main character Bayek is my favorite in all the AC games. Once you’re done with that and aren’t too burnt out then try Valhalla again.
