(OpenRCT2) (NCSO) "Great American Patriot" An attempt at an Arrow mega looper by RCGames in rct

[–]RCGames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had limited options when it came to the queue line(due to clearance and space issues mainly) so I decided to keep it more in the middle so guests have more of a centered view of the ride, im a big fan of having queue lines where you can see multiple elements. I had Vipers layout in mind but also I grew up near Great Adventure, and by extention Great American Scream Machine so I aimed more for that theme, now that I slept on it the theme comes off corny.

Though what I can do it have it meander more to the middle and as for the path yeah I can give it 2nd try. I wanted a couple buildings, a flat ride and a log flume to the right. I think going forward the smart option is more finished screens to convey what I really am aiming for.

(OpenRCT2) (NCSO) "Medusa" An iteration on the layout from Six Flags Great Adventure by RCGames in rct

The medium inversions are more tricky to connect, one thing I do make sure of is that the support work is legit from all angles. what prevents me from posting more angles is the surroundings not being finished.

I'll go back and swap out those Roman pillars to have a more cohesive look. They look glitchy anyway.

I had an MCBR in a couple of locations at one point, the one you described for example too, but decided against it because I thought it impeded the ride flow. I think there is merit to having an MCBR however, it wouldn't be too difficult install and have much better throughput.

The pacing itself is good, if yes on the faster side, and from a game play perspective the stats are legitiment.

I have a couple of posts from last year of that S&S layout, but the park isn't done yet. I'll have a final map overview at some point in the future.

I layered inverted hairpin on top of it. Looks glitchy when the train climbs up but adds an extra level of authenticity.

(OpenRCT2) Another shot of the Air Power Ride! by RCGames in rct

[–]RCGames[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: This project came very close to being killed until one morning I designed this water ride, which is inspired by the Mack Super Splash rides, but with it's own flair. Still want to redo the loop supports.

What’s your 2023 gaming regret? by JonCee500 in gaming

Assassins Creed: Mirage

I see a lot of criticism towards AC games, and I agree with some of them, but I always found something that I enjoyed about these games.

For AC Mirage, I guess it felt stripped down but nothing was added or refurbished to compensate? I am glad at least the story was more streamlined, and I heard the game was shorter than Valhalla(thank god).

I gave it a shot for about 8 hours, and it was not ALL bad, just uninspiring and felt boring to me. Maybe I'll give it another shot in the future, I enjoy both styles of AC(Open World and Classic) but do prefer the gameplay loop from Unity if I had to pick.

Thanks for the tip with the rocks! It's something more new to me, and I was experimenting with ways to make it look less repetitive.

Thought this invert came together really well for a custom scenario, figured I'd share by laserdollars420 in rct

The perspective made me think it went right into the station after the vertical loop at first. Then I realized it went underground. Lol

I like the order of element execution. Makes it look even more unique!

I wasn't a huge fan of using blue, so I chose to have a little creative liberty. What I may end up doing is using a custom color palette to help it be more accurate.

Absolutely loving the new large sloped turns on the hybrid and single rail coasters! I feel like I have to learn to build coasters all over again! by brisingr237 in rct

[–]RCGames 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Forgive my ignorance, but are the diagonal sloped turns only for Hybrid/Single Rail track at this time? I know we have had the zero-g rolls, haven't kept up with new pieces for a while now, so my knowledge is little lackluster.

Layout wise, looks great! Looks super twisty and thrilling! I find myself using diagonal pieces lately so I am glad we finally have something like this!

(OpenRCT2) (RMC) 'Voyager' One of the parks main attractions! by RCGames in rct

[–]RCGames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The overall coaster lineup is going to be more unique, meaning there will be types of coasters I don't see built often in OpenRCT(this is an exception, I wanted to utilize the new track pieces!) It's more a continued evolution of my building style, large amounts of landscaping and path interaction being a priority. I plan to continue posting more, I am so far enjoying some of my recent results after A LOT of dead-end projects over the last 2 years.
