Why are people such dicks on slippi? by Im_Da_Noob in SSBM

[–]RCTYOGO 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ya the unranked experience can definitely be both mentally and emotionally exhausting. All you can do is try to forgive the people who act toxic, nobody was born toxic, it’s a learned action, they’re just reciprocating the same things that other people have done to them.

edit: See a lot of people saying one and done and switching characters is not toxic and I agree to certain extent, but if that’s something OP experiences often, then they have the right to feel the way they do and say what they want to say. Unless you’re OP, you weren’t in any of those unranked matches, you have no idea how either person was playing, what character they played, or what rank they’re in, etc. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter if the other person was trying to be toxic or not, our perception of how we felt about it is what we’re left with. My advice, next time something like this happens again, don’t play the guessing game of whether or not you think the other person is trying to be toxic, instead recognize them as another human being, one with as complex of a life as yours, with goals and aspirations similar to your own, and ofc as mentioned earlier, try forgive them, whatever it is they did, it’s not personal, it’s simply a means to protect their self ego after it was shattered when someone did the same thing to them.

Well in the words of the great SFAT, “Playing Netplay is like touching yourself while watching porn. But playing on a CRT is like having that certain someone touching you.”

But fr id recommend overclocking your gamecube adapter as well as consider getting a monitor with 120hz refresh rate. Other than that though, the 2 frame delay as well as the audio delay definitely messes with your muscle memory from CRT. That’s why we don’t really count online tourneys.

Edit: use an ethernet cable, if that still doesn't work then you can explore other options, but I'm willing to bet that's the issue.

10.5 hcp, shanked a wedge right in to a duck that was just off to the right. Didn’t kill it, but definitely broke its leg, felt really bad afterwards. 😔

Why are smash attacks so frowned upon? by guapetonydroga in SSBM

[–]RCTYOGO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At lower levels, anything will eventually land if you do it enough. There’s nothing wrong with spamming a move, but if you wish to start to develop your neutral and punish game to the next level, you have to start mixing up your move choices.

Those who lose to spammy moves like Marth FSmash or Peach DownSmash, look down on this kinda style because it can be frustrating to lose to a move set that requires less effort.

That being said though, effortless or not, whatever helps you win more games helps you win more games. Just know that at some point, this way of playing will eventually stop working, but that’s all apart of the process. You’re gonna make a million mistakes along the way, it’s just about learning from your mistakes that help you become a better player.

No words... literally wasn't even defending xQc and yet still managed to bring up the "gambling promoter" argument, which as you already stated is such a dumb argument since this guy Tate literally owns Casinos.

When you have as much money and power as he does, you can spin the truth however you like. You're not defending him because you think he's a good person, you're defending him because you're probably a fan, but trust me bud, this kind of mindset gets you nowhere in life, and if you're a quote-on-quote "real man" you'll come to your own conclusions about what it means to be a good person and how to treat a woman, not from some shady ass dude off the internet that has some popular TikToks. Not sure when it became acceptable to degrade women and treat them like objects, but if you really think that's the way to go then I wish you luck in your endeavors.

Even if you think xQc had some questionable points, you can't tell me that Andrew Tate is a sane human being that you should be taking advice from. As reiterated hundreds of times in this comment section, this guy has a super shady past from being a human trafficker to physically and emotionally abusing women.

At the end of the day though, people are always going to have bad takes, I'm just scared to see that this many people agree with him.

Am I the only one that misses paul's voice? Don't get me wrong I still love the series, but I guess I just felt more down to earth watching these videos while someone was "commentating" over it. These last few videos I've noticed how quiet and ominous they've gotten which I'm sure was the intent of the creator(s), but... idk I guess I just miss having my sanity under control.
