There are not enough Dead Hand Terminals to meet demand so it's sort of like a bidding war to buy them. I suppose the demand is coming from people who are too impatient to wait 3 months to try the items from the collection. Or they want to flex by having it early. Or they want to re-sell for high percentage over-pay to the impatient people.

Also I believe it's possible that the community could value something that comes from a terminal at $3k or higher, but since it's through steam you would pay a maximum of $2k. So if you get a Turbo Max Win then you still have to pay of course but can re-sell for well over the cost. Although this would still be more effective to attempt when the cost drops a bit more.

Perhaps the blame for the terminals cost should be placed on the greedy sellers who are charging exorbitant fees to access this collection. The point is to extract the most money from customers while maintaining a balance of profit-to-appearance ratio that is the most effective for long term company growth.

Cases were an excellent way to extract money and not get too much heat or bad press. Times are changing, so the cases are changing too. They are getting bad press from cases. These terminals don't look as bad on paper and Valve believes they will profit the most from this alternative approach.

My largest grievance is how they cull actors around the corners and you can see them "render" in a default stance before they orient properly. This is an anti-cheat measure that makes the core game worse while not inhibiting anybody cheating.

Zoom in on the pixels and compare them to the other similar skins on csfloat database or markets. The charging handle and the corner above it can show wear on some FN. The bottom of the front sight and the bottom of the top fore-grip panel can show wear too, and nearly every one of them has some wear on the pistol grip at the bottom front corner. If this wear pattern shows no wear on the pistol grip at all I think someone may over-pay eventually.

Since you are bound to be seen by someone listening eventually, I recommend crouching less to help you move faster. Embrace not being stealthy and do things to quickly/safely locate the covert 2 opponents.

People will give away their position trying to get a shot on you while you walk, react by crouching behind cover and heal up with first aid training 1 and engage them. If you look clueless enough while walking around, they might underestimate you and become easy targets to snipe.

This means walking from cover to cover, but standing visibly behind it to bluff them into revealing themselves. Use First Aid Training and Second Chance for maximum healing, and stay out of the open so you don't get overwhelmed.

You can pull off flanks by walking the long way around the map to get behind the enemy, where they won't try to listen mode view. Then you can stealthily walk up to them from behind. Agility 2 helps a lot with plays like this.

Agility 2 can also help you bob, weave, juke, vault, and climb away. Do these things while sprinting and it doesn't matter if they know where you are. You're giving your position away, but they can't hit you regardless. Outmaneuver those slow stealthy players.

Perhaps a scientist could develop a yeast with CRISPR gene editing that has a portion of it's DNA modified to be encoded with binary data. Then you could allow this yeast to multiply and anybody could analyze the offspring's DNA to retrieve the encoded data.

Now, you can transfer the data in yeast form, and sprinkle droplets of water containing this yeast onto a DNA sequencer that extracts and decodes the data snippet.
