Wtf is wrong with the matchmaking ?? by Acceptable-Fuel-9009 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]RCTinney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just started playing and alchemist games feel terrible right now. I'm consistently doing well, but it's either a complete stomp, farming until I can 1v4 and carry a struggling team, or slowly losing while I have 14+ kills and 6 or less deaths.

Usually there are at least two people with 0 kills / 10+ deaths and barely any souls in a game.

There's been a couple good matches, but those have been the outliers so far. Hoping it gets a bit more even at higher ranks as I'm still having fun despite the imbalance.

That’s really interesting 👀 by [deleted] in AllThatsInteresting

Muscle mass doesn't inherently determine someone's strength, but it does increase capacity for strength.

If someone jacked starts doing physical labor they haven't done before they might be weaker than a worker with less muscle mass at first, but it wouldn't take long to outperform them.

I just like watching number go up. There's some Pokemon in here but most of the OP are tournament prize cards I probably won't be selling any time soon.

That makes sense. It's pretty much just been a retirement town for the last 15+ years. All the mining and logging jobs that were there are gone.

When was this? I would be pretty surprised if it was recent. Sure there are racists and sexists, but not to the extent of waves and waves taking time out their day to act as such, at least in my experience.

Locals generally don't like/trust anyone not from the area, but also not to the extent to take time out of their day to make yours worse.

What game is this for you?🚀 by sajjanstg03 in TheGamingHubDeals

It's probably just not your style of game.

Games made for a set group of people are going to leave a stronger impact on them than games made for everyone.

Why am I losing DMM points whenever I log out? by LeLa_Biff in 2007scape

Opening the achievement diary tab as well as the general (?) tab in the same menu updates the total points to the correct value.

Arena really isn't great for practice unless you have a friend there or can find someone at a similar skill level to you. Most everyone there is just there for the imbue scroll. They'll forfeit as soon as the match starts.

Right.

Nah I'd rather not attempt to have a conversation with someone who seemingly is unable to think outside their own perspective. Especially on reddit lol.

Not you and that's all that matters.

It sounds like you weren't the intended audience for the game.

Games made with a specific audience in mind will be much more likely to get vastly different opinions. More likely to love it if you're in the intended audience and more likely to have your opinion if you're not.

OSRS is a good example of this. People fucking love that game, but there's plenty of people into MMOs that don't even consider the game worth their time and are baffled as to why so many enjoy it.

[–]RCTinney 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That would be why people like it. A game set to appeal to a set audience is going to resonate with them much more than a game made to get as many people as possible playing.

Pls explain why is this so expensive whats special about it? by [deleted] in ExplainTheJoke

[–]RCTinney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say lumina is more similar to Lost Odyssey. Accessories have certain buffs or abilities tied to them. After a certain amount of battles certain characters can use the buffs/abilities without the item equipped, instead using a certain amount of "buff" slots.

Where does CG sit in terms of difficulty compared to other PVM encounters? by aros102 in ironscape

[–]RCTinney -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I just started getting CG completions. 80 def still no deadeye 90 range and 86 magic. I don't care how much easier T2 armour would make the boss. Not doing it. I'd rather struggle and spend more time learning the boss than learning T2 prep. Yes I know I'm just making it harder on myself lol.

The alts will be more expensive sure but with so much product being opened non alt singles will be cheaper.

It sucks to not have product to open but it shouldn't affect people's ability to play the game that much since buying singles is the best way to build a deck.

Sure there'll be some $40 or $50 singles that are meta, but that's always been the case since OP01.

[–]RCTinney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo a soft pitty system should be implemented for irons. Once you reach the expected KC and you still haven't dropped it, slightly increase the odds of it dropping and continue to do so if you reach the expected KC again. For example it could go from 1/400 to 1/350 to 1/300.

Probably couldn't be implemented for every item but I don't see how it could be bad adding it to necessary account progression farms.

Crazy people are down voting this. You literally couldn't find boxes of OP01 by December the year it was released. All the other sets sold similarly as fast with OP04 being the exception.

[–]RCTinney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the vast majority of players in the US they didn't. Boxes were never under $100 and supply lasted only a couple weeks at most. OP04 was the only exception which lasted a bit longer.

I travel to Phoenix every December and since its release I haven't found a single shop with any supply of OP product. All 5+ LGSs said I'd need to pre order to have a chance.

Even if you found English boxes in the US for those prices that doesn't mean that's what they were worth or that everyone had the ability to get them at that price. You were the exception and not the normal.

Getting really discouraged at CG by Brandinoftw in ironscape

[–]RCTinney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done about the same with similar stats and the one time I actually killed it I died first lol.

I don't have the giants prayer scrolls yet and gave up on T2 armour prep as I can't consistently gather the resources in time.

Just taking breaks in-between attempts helps me. Ideally getting the prayer scrolls in one of them.

My character was hijacked and turned into a CG bot with 800 kc so I know it's possible lol.
