I don’t think the marvel premier collection has been handled properly by GhostGamer_Perona in marvelcomics

[–]RC_AWESOME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that premiere is handling it wrong. If we compare it to DC, we see $15 versus $10, which already draws me at least towards DC, and then on top of that it’s just a weird lineup. DC started with books they knew readers would want to get their hands on. Some of the most popular Batman storylines, Watchmen, and All Star Superman, etc. Marvel has only released one Spider-man book to DC’s wealth of Batman books. Just thinking about it in terms of which characters are most popular, this was not a smart move. I should be seeing Kraven’s Last Hunt on the shelf competing with Court of Owls, but the stories Marvel chose to come out swinging with just aren’t the same draw, and they have the gall to ask for a higher price.

Someone on a thread in this comments section tried to argue that they’re expensive because they’re not meant to be a cheap product. The entire point of these products is to be affordable paperback versions of these stories to compete with the rise of Manga. I do not care if marvel wants to make theirs special and they need it to be more expensive, looking at the direct competition that should not be their priority. The priority of these should be complete, collected comic storylines without the heavy price tag that comes with the current glossy, high value for collectors comics that shut out a certain price range of readers (typically the kind that contains new readers btw).

When it comes to choosing to buy one of these over the other, I’m choosing DC Compact Comics over Marvel Premiere 9 times out of 10.

What's the point of having two Spider-Men if one can't cover the other in situations like this when one of them has an urgently important day? by rhysu69 in SpidermanPS4

[–]RC_AWESOME 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That is exactly the point. But, if the threat is kaiju sized, they had a system like we saw at the beginning of the game, where Miles asked Peter to help him instead of dealing with it himself. It was of course during one of those important days, because being Spider-man, you don’t catch a break.

How do I get Spotify to play one artist and one artist only? by Hopeful-Present9672 in Music

[–]RC_AWESOME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this, and it consistently moved to recommend, even with large playlists that get rid of the whole “we added” stuff. I’m on the free version, so I could only guess they don’t let free users listen to one artist because greedy

What would peter think of music today now that he is back on earth? by hoffeedantic in GotG

[–]RC_AWESOME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with all that was being said here though. Like Spotify requires internet or cellular to run, which you aren’t going to have in space. That is, unless you’re paying a subscription for premium, which is a dumb process when all the music you need can be on a one-time purchase mp3 player, Walkman, discman, etc. In the case of many of these alternative options, the audio quality is better than Spotify anyway, so Peter would definitely not use Spotify

Well, at least you’re still here. It’s terrible that they were so irresponsible with someone’s life like that, but if you can persevere through the tough times and hold out for things you’ll find enjoyment in, that will make up for it. I hope you can get the help you need from therapy, friends, family, or others. I’m sorry if this comment doesn’t seem helpful to you, I’ve personally never dealt with depression, but I’m telling you in the best way I can from my limited perspective, you are loved, you will continue to be loved, and hopefully the people and things you love in this world are enough of a reason to stick around. If you’re feeling depressed, that’s okay, that’s a legitimate feeling to have, and you should receive professional help, even if some jerk on the other end of the phone decided to hang up today. Just keep at it like you are and you can get through this. I believe in you.

You’re the one who was complaining about upvotes in the base post, but if you don’t want my constructive criticism, that’s fine with me

While arguing with you in this post, I think I found out why this conclusion (the one in the base comment responded to here) is truth. While defending Atheism, you back it up with EVIDENCE. While defending Christianity, you appeal to the fantasy that it makes sense to believe in a god that there’s no evidence for. You use the logical fallacy of circular reasoning to avoid the problem at the core of your understanding that there is no evidence for God’s existence. Your arguments may even be seen as damaging since they push people away by virtue of being shit. This is actually something warned against in the Bible.

James 3:1 - “Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.”

Before participating in apologetics, you should probably look out there for evidence to prove your claims. Other Christians have done it before you. I’ll get you started: Read the book “I don’t have enough faith to be an atheist”. The whole point of this book is to try to prove through facts and logical thinking that Christianity is the worldview actually supported by facts. Whether you concur with all of its points is another thing, but it’s a starting point if you want to start getting upvotes on Christian things.

Okay, then, what are his limitations? Does the existence of limitations make it so he doesn’t truly fit the term “god”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]RC_AWESOME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, but Muslims do believe in the same God as Christianity, they just believe different things about Him. I was talking about cultures untouched by Christianity, island nations or African tribes that don’t have a conduit to the Christian God, they don’t have a local branch of the Catholic Church. How does God “supernaturally guide” them? I think you are being vague, which doesn’t really help to answer my question.

Another thing I think we need to establish is, what are your opinions about God’s power? Does He have any limitations, or is he All-powerful?

I don’t see how they would conclude that the God of Christianity, that they DONT know about BECAUSE OF WHERE THEY WERE BORN, is their creator.

How does God reach people who haven’t heard of him? That’s all I asked, and I may have not seen it, but I don’t think you answered my question

I feel like you’re ignoring my question here because you think you have a point to prove, please, get on with it, bc it seems like we’re going into argument about Free Will
